iTOMA 3501 Digital Alarm Clock Radio User Manual

Your guide to the iTOMA 3501 alarm clock radio, featuring Bluetooth stereo speakers, FM radio, and dual alarms.

Important Safety Instructions

The exclamation point [exclamation symbol] within an equilateral triangle is intended to alert the user to the presence of important operating and maintenance (servicing) instructions in the literature accompanying the appliance.

Daylight Saving Time Setting

This clock supports Auto DST for different regions:

To set the DST area, long press the "SOURCE" button until the DST code flashes, then use the [Up Arrow] or [Down Arrow] buttons to select your local DST setting. "d-OF" turns DST off.

The "DST" indicator will appear on the display when local DST is active.

If the product is reset, DST needs to be set manually.

Preparation for Use

Unpacking and Set Up

Protect Your Furniture

The unit has non-skid rubber feet. To prevent marks on furniture, use a cloth or felt pads under the unit if using oil-based polishes or cleaning sprays.

Power Source

The clock radio uses an AC power adapter (120V/60Hz for North America, 220-240V/50Hz for Europe/Australia). Using an incorrect adapter is not covered by warranty.

A lithium battery maintains time and alarm settings during AC power loss. Keep the AC adapter connected and the mains outlet switched on for optimal battery life and function.

Setting the Date / Time Manually

Ensure the clock is in STANDBY mode before setting.

To check current time/date, short press "TIME SET" repeatedly to cycle through time, month, day, and year.

To set the time:

  1. Press and hold "TIME SET". The HOUR digits will blink. Press [Up Arrow] or [Down Arrow] to adjust.
  2. Press "TIME SET" again. The MINUTE digits will blink. Press [Up Arrow] or [Down Arrow] to adjust.
  3. Press "TIME SET" again. The MONTH digits will blink. Press [Up Arrow] or [Down Arrow] to adjust.
  4. Press "TIME SET" again. The DATE digits will blink. Press [Up Arrow] or [Down Arrow] to adjust.
  5. Press "TIME SET" again. The YEAR digits will blink. Press [Up Arrow] or [Down Arrow] to adjust.
  6. Press "TIME SET" again. "24H" or "12H" will blink. Press [Up Arrow] or [Down Arrow] to select the desired format (24-hour or 12-hour clock).
  7. Press "TIME SET" again or wait 40 seconds to return to the clock display.

Setting the Alarm

Your clock has two independent alarms (Alarm 1 and Alarm 2).

Setting Alarm 1 (Wake to Radio or Buzzer):

  1. Choose alarm ringtone: Push AL1 slide switch to [Buzzer Symbol] (for Buzzer) or [Radio Symbol] (for Radio).
  2. Press and hold "AL1" for 3 seconds. The HOUR digits will blink. Press [Up Arrow] or [Down Arrow] to adjust.
  3. Press "AL1" again. The MINUTE digits will blink. Press [Up Arrow] or [Down Arrow] to adjust.
  4. Press "AL1" again. The CURRENT VOLUME LEVEL (1-16) will blink. Press [Up Arrow] or [Down Arrow] to adjust volume.
  5. Press "AL1" again. The DAY(S) OF THE WEEK texts (MON to SUN) will blink. Press [Up Arrow] or [Down Arrow] to select the alarm day mode:
    • Everyday (Monday to Sunday)
    • Weekdays (Monday to Friday)
    • Weekends (Saturday and Sunday)
    • Single Day (Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday/Friday/Saturday/Sunday)
  6. Press "AL1" or wait 40 seconds to exit alarm setting. The alarm indicator ([Buzzer Symbol] or [Radio Symbol]) will appear on the display.
  7. To turn off AL1 completely, push the "AL1" slide switch to OFF.

Repeat steps for Alarm 2 using the "AL2" button and slide switch.

Snooze/Repeat

Playing the FM Radio

  1. Press the [Power] button to turn on the clock radio.
  2. Press "SOURCE" button to switch to radio mode. The "MHz" indicator will appear.
  3. Extend and adjust the FM antenna for best reception.
  4. Adjusting Frequency: In radio mode, press [Up Arrow] or [Down Arrow] to adjust the MHz frequency.
  5. Auto-search/scan: Press and hold [Up Arrow] or [Down Arrow] for 2 seconds to scan for the next available station.
  6. Store Radio Station Presets (up to 20 stations):
    1. In radio mode, use [Up Arrow] or [Down Arrow] to find your desired station.
    2. Short press "STORE" button. The Program Number (P01-P20) will flash.
    3. Press [Up Arrow] or [Down Arrow] to select a Program Number.
    4. Press "STORE" button again to save the station.
  7. Recall Preset Radio Stations:
    1. In radio mode, short press "MEMORY" button. The Program Number will appear.
    2. Press [Up Arrow] or [Down Arrow] to select the desired Program Number and listen to the preset station.

Note: Keep the clock radio away from other electronic devices to avoid interference. Extend the FM antenna fully.

Using the Sleep Timer

Fall asleep to the radio. The sleep timer is set in 10-minute increments (10-90 minutes). The radio turns off automatically.

  1. Press the [Power] button to turn on the clock radio.
  2. Press "SLEEP". The display shows "10" (10 minutes).
  3. To change duration, keep pressing "SLEEP" until the desired time appears.
  4. To deactivate, keep pressing "SLEEP" until "OFF" appears, or turn off the unit directly.

The "SLP" indicator flashes while the sleep timer is active.

Dimmer Control

Keep pressing the "DIMMER" button to adjust display brightness. There are 5 levels. This can be adjusted during radio or Bluetooth playback.

Brightness levels:

USB for Charging

The USB port provides 5V up to 1A for charging mobile phones or portable digital audio players.

Note: Charging current may vary based on USB cable and device battery.

Resetting to Factory Default Setting

  1. Unplug the AC adapter.
  2. Long press the "RESET" button (use a pin or paperclip) for 3 seconds.
  3. Plug the adapter back in. The clock is restored to its original state.
  4. You will need to manually set the time and DST.

Care and Maintenance

Care of Cabinets

Wipe dusty cabinets with a soft cloth. Clean smudged or dirty cabinets with a soft, slightly dampened cloth. Never allow liquid inside. Do not use abrasive cleaners or pads.

Lithium Battery Precautions

Environmental Disposal: Do not dispose of this product with household waste. Recycle responsibly to promote material reuse. Use return and collection systems or contact the retailer.

Bluetooth Connection

  1. Press the [Power] button to turn on the clock radio.
  2. Press "SOURCE" button to switch to Bluetooth (BT) mode. The "BT" indicator will blink.
  3. Turn on Bluetooth on your external audio device and search for "3501" to connect.
  4. Once connected, the "BT" indicator stops blinking. You can now play music from your device through the clock speakers.
  5. Control music playback using your external device or the clock's [Play/Pause] button.
  6. Press [Up Arrow] or [Down Arrow] to play music forwards/backwards.
  7. Press "VOL-" or "VOL+" to adjust volume.

Limited Warranty

iTOMA warrants this product to the original consumer against defects in material and workmanship for 1 year from the original purchase date, under normal use. This warranty does not cover cosmetic appearance, consumable items, damage from misuse, negligence, incorrect installation, or unauthorized repairs.
