Warnings and Safety Notes

• Never open the PSU cover due to the risk of high voltage. Only authorized technicians should open the PSU. Opening the PSU voids the manufacturer's warranty.
• Do not work on the PSU or PC while the main voltage is connected. Switch the I/O button to "0" and disconnect the power plug.
• Protect the PSU against moisture.
• The PSU is suitable for operation at 100-240V~/50-60 Hz.
• Ambient temperature should not exceed 40°C. Ensure sufficient system ventilation.
• Do not cover or clog the PSU ventilation slots. Keep the PC away from direct heat sources.
• When using extension cords or multiple sockets, pay attention to the maximum through-connection ability to avoid short-circuits.
• During operation, do not exceed the maximum loads specified in the output power table for single and total loads.
• Avoid using adapters, such as 4Pin Molex to 6+2Pin PCI-Express.
• Important Safety Note: If smoke, cable damage, or liquid intrusion occurs, immediately disconnect the PSU from the power network and do not operate it further.
• Caution: Never open the PSU yourself. High voltages can persist even after deactivation. Repairs must only be done by authorized specialists.

Installation and Accessories

Before installation, review the "Warnings and Safety Notes" section.

Use only the supplied screws for mounting, as they have the correct thread. A screwdriver is required.

Included parts:

• Screws for PSU assembly
• Power cord (Use only the included cord; low-quality cords can damage the PSU and PC system.)
• Brief instruction including warranty information

Installation Steps:

1. Place the PSU into its designated place within the case and fix it with the supplied screws.
2. Insert the mainboard power plugs (20/24 pin, 4 pin, and possibly 8 pin) into the respective slots on the mainboard.
3. Connect disk drives and graphics cards to the PSU.
4. Close the PC and ensure the PSU power switch is set to position "0".
5. Connect the PSU to the power network using the supplied power cord.
6. Turn on the PSU and then start your PC.

Safety Functions

• OCP (Overcurrent Protection): Automatically switches off if current on a single line exceeds the indicated limit.
• UVP (Under Voltage Protection): Automatically switches off if voltages fall below a certain tolerance value on single lines.
• OVP (Over Voltage Protection): Automatically switches off if voltages increase above a certain tolerance value on single lines.
• SCP (Short-Circuit Protection): Prevents damage to core PSU components and system components in case of a short-circuit.
• OPP (Over Power Protection): Activates if the system requires more power than the PSU can deliver.
• OTP (Over Temperature Protection): Automatically switches off if the temperature becomes too high.

Troubleshooting

Note: Never attempt to repair the PSU yourself. Life-threatening voltages can be present. Repairs must only be done by authorized specialists.

Problem: The system does not start after installing the new PSU.

Possible Solutions:

• Check the power cord, wall socket, and/or multiple socket strip power supply. Ensure the socket strip can supply the necessary power.
• Check all internal PC connections; ensure all cables are correctly connected.
• Check the PC case's internal wiring for the power switch to the mainboard.
• Check components for possible short-circuits or defects.
• Verify compatibility of other components. Mainboard chipsets may not be compatible with all memory and/or graphics card solutions. Contact the component manufacturer for more information.
• If the PSU still does not function after checking these sources, contact customer service.

Advice and Disposal

This product must not be disposed of with regular household waste. It must be taken to a collection point for electrical and electronic devices for recycling.

COUGAR provides a limited warranty on GEX series against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship. Defects will be repaired or restored with spare parts. To claim warranty, contact the retailer where the PSU was bought and provide a copy of the invoice and an error description. Compucase will only support directly if the retailer is unreachable repeatedly. For direct support, the end user is responsible for proper packing and all transportation costs.

Compucase's warranty does not cover:

• Damages due to acts of nature (e.g., Lightning, Water, Fire).
• Accessory or consequential damages from using or not using the PSU.
• Damages caused by misuse or negligence.
• Loss of information or data, software, or applications.
• Damages caused by opening or modifying the PSU without prior accordance.
• Damages caused by operating or installing the PSU outside of the technical specifications described in the manual.
• Cryptocurrency mining may cause warranty void.

This warranty is valid only for the first end user or consumer and is restricted to the specified period.
