Thank you for choosing a COUGAR® power supply unit. Please read this manual carefully before installation. For questions, contact customer service.

Warnings and Safety Notes

• Never open the PSU cover due to high voltage danger. Only authorized technicians should open it. Warranty is void if opened by unauthorized persons.
• Do not work on the PSU or PC while the main voltage is connected. Switch the PSU to "0" and disconnect the power plug.
• Protect the PSU against moisture.
• Suitable for 100-240V~/50-60 Hz operation. Ambient temperature should not exceed 40°C. Ensure sufficient ventilation.
• Do not cover ventilation slots. Keep PC away from direct heat sources.
• When using extension cords or multi-sockets, pay attention to maximum through-connection ability to avoid short-circuits.
• Adhere to maximum loads for single and total loads as per the output power table.
• Avoid adapters like 4-Pin Molex to 6+2Pin PCI-Express or SATA to 4-Pin Molex.
• Never attempt PSU repairs yourself; life-threatening voltages may persist. Repairs must be done by authorized specialists.
• If smoke, cable damage, or liquid intrusion occurs, immediately disconnect from the power network and do not operate.
• Never open the PSU; it contains components with high voltages even after long periods of deactivation.
• Arabic Safety Notes Translation: Electrical power must be completely disconnected during installation. The power supply must only be installed in its designated place. Installation must be done by qualified personnel only. Ensure all connections are made correctly. Keep the device away from water and moisture sources. Immediately disconnect power if you suspect a burning smell. Ensure your power source is suitable for the device's requirements.

Installation and Accessories

Read "Warnings and Safety Notes" before installation. Use only supplied screws for mounting. A screwdriver is required.

Included parts:

• Screws for PSU assembly
• Power cord (Use only the provided cord; low-quality cords can damage the PSU and PC.)
• Brief instruction including warranty information.

Installation Steps:

1. Place the PSU into its designated case location and fix with supplied screws.
2. Insert mainboard supply plugs (20/24 pin, 4 pin, 8 pin) into respective slots.
3. Connect disk drives and graphics cards to the PSU.
4. Close the PC. Ensure the PSU power switch is set to "0".
5. Connect the PSU to the power network using the supplied power cord.
6. Turn on the PSU and then start your PC.

Power Switch and Fan Control:

POWER Switch: O: Main Power Off, 1: Main Power On

FAN Zero Fan Option: O: Zero Fan Mode Off (smart fan spinning by internal temperature), 1: Zero Fan Mode On (quick spinning at first, then no spinning under low loads, smart spinning depending on temperature).

Safety Functions

• OCP (Overcurrent Protection): Automatically switches off if current on a single line exceeds the indicated limit.
• UVP (Under Voltage Protection): Automatically switches off if voltages fall below a certain tolerance on single lines.
• OVP (Over Voltage Protection): Automatically switches off if voltages increase above a certain tolerance on single lines.
• SCP (Short-circuit Protection): Prevents damage to PSU core components and system components in case of a short circuit.
• OPP (Over Power Protection): Activates if the system requires more power than the PSU can deliver.
• OTP (Over Temperature Protection): Automatically switches off if the temperature becomes too high.

Problem: System does not start after installing the new PSU.

Possible Solutions:

• Check the power cord, wall socket, and multi-socket strip. Ensure the strip can supply sufficient power.
• Verify all PC internal connections; ensure cables are correctly seated.
• Check components for short-circuits or defects.
• Verify component compatibility (e.g., mainboard chipsets with memory/graphics cards). Contact component manufacturers for information.
• If the PSU still fails after checking these points, contact customer service.

Advice on Disposal

This product must not be disposed of with regular household waste. It must be brought to a collection point for electrical and electronic devices for recycling. Guarantee Terms and Conditions for COUGAR Power Supply Units (PSU) of the GEM Series

COUGAR provides a 5-year limited warranty on GEM series products against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship. During this period, defects will be repaired or restored with spare parts.

To claim warranty service:

• Contact the retailer where the PSU was purchased.
• Provide a copy of the invoice and an error description.
• Compucase offers direct support only if the retailer is unreachable repeatedly.
• For direct support, the end user is responsible for proper product packaging and all transportation costs.

Compucase's warranty does NOT cover:

• Damages due to acts of nature (e.g., Lightning, Water, Fire).
• Accessory or consequential damages from using or not using the PSU.
• Damages caused by misuse or negligence.
• Loss of information, data, software, or applications.
• Damages from opening or modifying the PSU without prior consent.
• Damages from using or installing the PSU outside specified technical conditions.

This warranty is valid only for the first end user or consumer and is restricted to the stated period.
