Descriptions of Specifications
- Full output power according to the spec is based on a sufficient electrical supply system. If your system is inadequate, the efficiency of the amplifier decreases, hurting the performance!
- Operation below minimum impedance will stress the amplifier & void the warranty. Excessive heat will occur, causing the amplifier to go into thermal protection. The circuit may sustain permanent damage and protection lights won't turn off or flash sequentially.
- Operational voltage is from 9V to 17.5V.
- Protection may also be caused by:
- Input voltage from headunit being too high/low / power supply voltage too high/low.
- Speaker overload
- Short circuit
Minimum Battery Requirements
- ZERO6 - YGGDRASILL
- AGM: 4X 100 AH / 1250 CCA
- LITHIUM: 6C 80 AH
The list above describes the additional dedicated battery supply for the amplifier. The OEM battery does not count as a part of it.
Panel Layout
The panel layout includes:
- Power & Protection Indicator: Power LED (blue for correct operation), Protect LED (red for malfunction, faulty connection, or thermal protection).
- Input: Requires a minimum of 0.2V input signal for correct operation. RCA output is for slave/daisy amplifiers.
- Output: RCA output signal for SLAVE or DAISY amplifiers. The SLAVE / DAISY amplifier switch must be in the correct position.
- Gain: Adjusts signal input voltage from the input source to match the amplifier's input stage (0.2 V ~ 5 V). Voltages beyond this range may cause errors or damage.
- Subsonic: Variable subsonic setting from 10 Hz to 50 Hz. Recommended to set according to subwoofer enclosure tuning to avoid strain.
- LPF (Low Pass Filter): 35 HZ ~ 250 HZ, 24 DB/OCT. Adjusts the cut-off point for the low-pass crossover.
- Master / Slave / Daisy: Settings to strap amplifiers for increased power or daisy-chaining. In Master mode, the unit sends the signal to the slave. In Daisy mode, amplifiers work independently, with signal routed from the master's output.
- Gain Daisy: Fine-tunes the master signal for daisy-chained amps, allowing for +/- 5% variance.
- Remote: Remote level control with Clip LED reading.
- Speaker & REM Connection: Loudspeaker output connection. REM is the switched remote input from the source unit and is required for the amplifier to power on.
Speaker Connection
Speaker Impedance: 1 OHM ~ 8 OHM. Loads below specified impedance will cause excessive heat and potential amplifier shutdown or damage. Impedance load under 1 OHM is not warranted.
Recommendations:
- Use a minimum 8 Ga speaker cable for optimal performance and efficiency.
- Run speaker cables separately from high-current cables and RCA cables.
- Use grommets to protect cables penetrating the vehicle's chassis.
- Strip 3/8″ / 1 cm of insulation from each cable end and twist strands tightly. Ensure no stray strands touch other cables or terminals to prevent short circuits.
- Crimp spade plugs or use solder for solid terminal connections.
- Connect cable ends to the amplifier's speaker terminals, which are internally bridged.
CAUTION: Connect the +12V wire, ensuring it is fused at the battery. Ensure appropriate ground connection. Connect the switched remote. Reattach the negative battery wire. Operation over 17.5 Volts can cause the amplifier to go into protect mode and void the warranty.
Master / Slave Connection
This feature allows strapping of two identical amplifiers to achieve twice the power. Both amplifiers must be switched off before any connection.
- Step 1: Connect the RCA output from the source unit to the Master amplifier input. Ensure the switch is set to MASTER. Use only one RCA input; the other is for output.
- Step 2: Connect an RCA from the Master amplifier's output to the Slave amplifier's input. Set the Slave amplifier's switch to SLAVE.
- Step 3: Connect one end of the speaker cable to the Master amplifier's negative speaker output terminal and the other end to the Slave amplifier's negative speaker output terminal.
- Step 4: Connect the positive speaker cable to the Master amplifier's positive output terminal and then to the loudspeaker's positive terminal. Connect a negative speaker cable to the Slave amplifier's positive output terminal, routing the other end to the loudspeaker's negative terminal.
Master / Daisy Connection
In daisy chain mode, the master amplifier's audio settings (gain, crossover, etc.) are routed to the amplifier marked as daisy. You can then route the input signal from the master amplifier to a second daisy amplifier using the output RCA on the first daisy amplifier. This can be continued for multiple amplifiers.
This feature is useful for matching gain on multiple subwoofers. The "Gain Daisy" function allows fine-tuning of the signal by +/- 5% to compensate for slight voltage discrepancies.
ACCU8 Crossover
The ACCU8 feature eliminates the guesswork in setting crossovers. The potentiometers (except gain) have a 41-click ratio, with each click corresponding to a specific frequency or level increase in dB.

Troubleshooting
The amplifier's protection circuits prevent damage from faulty conditions. The protection indicator lights up due to short circuits, high/low voltage, or speaker overload, causing the amplifier to turn off. Before inspecting, turn down all levels and power off. Check installation for wiring mistakes, shorts, or faulty ground.
- If the amplifier shuts down due to excessive heat: Allow the unit to cool off before removing it.
- Amplifier Doesn't Turn On: Measure voltage on the +12V terminal. Ensure the remote terminal has min. 13.8 V DC. Recheck ground connection and in-line fuses. Check the protection LED.
- Protection LED is Lit: Check for shorts on speaker wires, connected load/impedance, power cables, and ground. Disconnect speaker cables and reset the amplifier. Check for high/low voltage (operational voltage is 10 V~17.5V).
- Fuse Blowing: Measure speaker impedance and check power cable for shorts.
- Overheating: Measure speaker impedance, check for speaker shorts, ensure sufficient airflow, and proper mounting (not upside down).
- Audio Output Insufficient - Distorted Sound: Ensure gain settings match the head unit's output level. Adjust head unit volume. Check speaker shorts. Adjust crossover frequencies. Check RCA connections and cables.
- Turn On Thump: Disconnect signal input and turn the amplifier on/off. If noise is cancelled, use a delay turn-on module or a relay for the REM wire.
- High Hiss - Alternator Whine: Keep signal wires (RCA, speaker cables) separate from power and ground wires. Bypass electrical components between the head unit and amplifier. Connect the head unit directly to the amplifier's input. Remove existing ground wires for all electrical components and ensure a solid ground point. Replace ground cables and check the vehicle's electrical system (distributor, alternator, spark plugs/wires, voltage regulators).
Limited Warranty Information
B2 audio offers a limited warranty for 1 year from the original purchase date when installed by an authorized dealer, or 30 days if not installed by an authorized dealer. Original sales receipts must accompany all returns. The warranty applies to the original purchaser and is valid only when purchased from authorized B2 audio dealers.
The warranty does not cover:
- Damage from accident, abuse, misuse, improper operation, water/solvents, or shipping.
- Product modification, neglect, failure to follow installation instructions, or misrepresentation by the seller.
- Products used for competition purposes.
- Products that have been opened.
- Products with defaced, altered, or removed serial numbers.
- The cost of shipping the product back for repair or the cost of return of non-defective items.
