Grill Usage and Cleaning
- Before first use, remove the cooking grate and drip tray. Wash the grill with warm soapy water using a non-abrasive cloth. Use ONLY HIGH TEMP PLASTIC UTENSILS when grilling. Visit www.cookwithkenyon.com for grill utensils.
- Ensure the drip tray is fully inserted and the electric element brackets rest on the support bracket.
- Cover the bottom of the drip tray with liquid. Water is fine. DO NOT USE A FLAMMABLE LIQUID. Apple juice can add flavor for pork, and lime soda is excellent for fish. Always add liquid to the drip tray before grilling.
- To keep the grill smoke-free, clean the grilling surface after each use with warm soapy water and a non-abrasive cloth, or place in the dishwasher. Empty and wipe the drip tray with a damp paper towel. Disposable drip trays can be reused multiple times.
- Place the cooking grate or optional griddle (part #B96000) onto the element with the drip tray installed. Use the griddle for foods such as eggs, pancakes, or stuffed french toast.
- Preheat the grill with the lid closed for 5-7 minutes on the desired heat setting:
- Steak: 7-8 bars
- Hamburgers: 6-7 bars
- Chicken, pork, and fish: 4-5 bars
- Vegetables: 3-4 bars
- Close the lid and cook.
- Clean up: Place paper towels on the grilling surface, pour about one ounce of water on the towels, and use high-temperature nylon tongs to swab the grate, loosening residue. Discard paper towel and wipe grate with a dry paper towel.
- Once the grate has cooled sufficiently, remove and place in the dishwasher for thorough cleaning.
- With the grate removed, lift the electric element and remove the drip tray. Empty the tray, wipe with a dry paper towel, and reuse.
- Every 7-8 uses, wash the lid in the dishwasher on the pots & pans cycle.
- To clean the grill, ensure the cooking surface has cooled. Remove the grate, lift the electric element to the up position, then remove the drip tray.
- Wipe stainless steel surfaces with a damp cloth to remove residue.
- Your Kenyon grill includes a sample of stainless steel cleaner. Use monthly to protect stainless steel.
- The touch control area is ceramic glass. Clean with glass cleaner and a soft towel. For stains, use a ceramic glass cleaner.
Stuffed French Toast Recipe
Ingredients:
- 16 slices Thin Sliced Bread (any kind but not white stuff)
- 1 lb Cream Cheese (softened)
- 1/2 cup Peach Preserves (or your favorite)
- 4 T. Butter
French Toast Batter:
- 5 Large eggs, thoroughly beaten
- 1 cup Milk
- 1 T. Cinnamon, ground
- 1/2 tsp Allspice, ground
- 1/2 tsp Coriander, ground
- 2 oz Water (Optional: Dark Rum)
Batter Preparation: In a large bowl, beat eggs with a wire whisk. Add milk and beat until incorporated. In a separate smaller bowl, pour water or Rum (if preferred) and add dry ingredients, mixing thoroughly. Add the dry ingredients mixture to the egg and milk mixture and beat until mixed to avoid clumps.
Method of Preparation: Preheat your 'All Seasons® Grill' on medium-high heat (6 bars) for approximately ten minutes. Mix softened cream cheese with peach preserves. Spread equally onto eight slices of bread. Place the remaining eight slices on top to make sandwiches. Add two tablespoons of butter to the preheated griddle, coating it. Reserve the rest of the butter for remaining pieces. Dip each sandwich into the batter, coating both sides. Cook until both sides are browned nicely. Serve with warmed maple syrup and butter, or keep warm in a low oven.

Electrical Requirements
This product must be installed in accordance with national, state, and local electric codes. The following table provides the correct voltage, amperage, and frequency that must be supplied to the grill. The supply must be from an individual grounded circuit protected by a circuit breaker and rated per the specifications for the model.
KENYON Part # | Max Load | Power Supply | Plug Type | Cord Dimension |
---|---|---|---|---|
B70300, B70310, B70360, B70362 | 1300 Watts | 120V AC 11A 60Hz | 3 prong cord with GFCI / 3 prong cord | 86" (2184mm) / 63" (1600mm) |
B70301, B70311, B70361 | 1300 Watts | 240V AC 6A 60Hz | 3 wire cord no plug | 67" (1702mm) |
WARNING: Consult a licensed electrician if the electrical supply does not meet product specifications before proceeding with installation. Do not remove the GFCI device from the supplied power cord under any circumstances.
Countertop Installation
Your All Seasons® Grill and remote are supplied with factory-installed polished stainless steel flanges that accept oval head wood screws for mounting. The trim flanges of the grill and control are designed to hold the unit firmly in place in the countertop. Seal the edge of the countertop beneath both trim flanges using a soft bedding compound that will prevent damage if later removal for service is necessary. We recommend a non-adhesive type of sealant, such as plumber's putty, with a maximum compressed thickness of 1/16".
WARNING: Allow a 2 inch (2") minimum clearance between the bottom of the grill and any combustible surface located below, such as the upper edge of a drawer installed below the grill. Failure to provide proper clearances and ventilation may result in a fire hazard.
Cutout Dimensions and Installation Clearances
Diagram Description: Detailed diagrams illustrate countertop and control cutout dimensions for the Frontier, Portable, and No-Lid grill models. These include rear views of the grills showing drain fittings and connector ports, as well as control mounting panel dimensions and power cord charts for various models.
Installation Clearances (refer to Fig. 2):
- A: 13 inches maximum depth of overhead cabinets.
- B: 36 inches minimum height of counter top above floor.
- C: The minimum flat countertop surface must be equal to or greater than the overall grill dimensions.
- D: 30 inches minimum clearance between the top of the grill and the bottom of an unprotected wood or metal cabinet, OR 24 inches minimum clearance if the cabinet bottom is protected by flame retardant mill board (1/4" thick), sheet steel (No. 28 MSG, 0.015" thick), stainless steel (0.015" thick), aluminum (0.024" thick), or copper (0.020" thick).
- E: 4 inches minimum from backsplash of countertop to edge of grill; 1-1/2 inches minimum from front of counter to grill.
- F: Placement of the remote control should be:
- Within easy reach of the operator, avoiding reaching over hot surfaces.
- Mounted on a flat horizontal or vertical surface.
- Out of direct sunlight and direct water spray as much as possible.
- Consider clearance for structural members, internal cabinet or wall framework, depth of control distance behind the control mounting panel, and power cord and connector cable routing access.
- Consider clearance for plumbing or other fixtures.
- Ensure it is within range of the connector cable attachment to the grill and the power supply cord connection.
- For portable grills, consider locations for grill placement and connector cable routing by the operator to avoid unsafe operation.
FOR INSTALLATIONS IN CANADA: Do Not Install Closer Than 1/2 Inch (13 mm) From Any Adjacent Surface.
WARNING: Avoid cabinet storage space directly above the grill to prevent burns from reaching over the heated grill. If storage is provided, install a range hood projecting at least 5 inches beyond cabinet bottoms.
Before making the countertop cutout, check for clearance with cabinet front/side walls and backsplash for full lid opening. Adequate ventilation below the countertop is crucial for proper operation, as heat from the grill bottom pan can overheat an improperly ventilated area.
Diagram Description (Fig. 3): Shows a diagram indicating a "2 INCH (51MM) MINIMUM" clearance requirement.
Cabinet design requires a minimum of two openings (one for fresh air in, one for hot air out), each at least 8 square inches, for ambient temperatures up to 85°F / 30°C. Larger openings may be needed for higher temperatures.
When making countertop cutouts, radius the corners (typically 1/4 inch) to prevent cracking. Follow countertop manufacturer's instructions for minimum radius and reinforcements.
Use Plumber's Putty to seal the grill to the countertop. It creates watertight seals and is hidden under the flange. Use stain-free putty for granite, marble, quartz, sandstone, or Corian countertops.
Drain Connection
The grill is equipped with a 1/8" NPT brass pipe fitting and a 90° brass elbow for attaching the 1/4" ID flexible hose. Portable grills include a brass pipe plug. For portable use, remove the hose/fitting and install the plug. Save the hose/fitting for future installation.
Diagram Description (Fig. 4): Shows a drain fitting for a 1/4" ID hose.
Outlet Location
Ensure the electrical outlet is easily accessible for plugging and unplugging the grill, facilitating safe cleaning and storage.
Diagram Description: Shows suggested outlet locations near the grill installation area.
Final Preparations Prior to Use
Remove protective plastic film from the lid, trim flange, and glass panel. Clean the grill before first use with stainless steel or glass cleaner to remove adhesive traces and manufacturing oils. Wash nonstick coated grates in warm soapy water before use.
Operation of Grill
DO NOT USE WATER ON GREASE FIRES: Smother fire with flame, dry chemical, or foam-type extinguisher.
USE ONLY DRY POT HOLDERS: Moist/damp pot holders can cause steam burns. Do not let pot holders touch the grate or element. Do not use towels or bulky cloth.
DO NOT COOK ON BROKEN GRILL GRATE OR GRIDDLE: If the grate breaks, grease and oils may contact the electric element, risking electric shock or fire. Contact Kenyon Customer Care at (860) 664-4906.
CLEAN GRILL WITH CAUTION: Be careful of steam burns when wiping hot surfaces. Some cleaners produce noxious fumes. Read cleaner labels.
DO NOT TOUCH HEATING ELEMENT OR GRATE: They remain hot after cooking. Allow to cool before handling.
CLEAN GRILL AFTER EACH USE: Remove and clean the disposable drip pan. Do not allow grease to accumulate. The grease pan and baffle tray MUST be used. Excessive grease can spill, void warranty, and cause fire hazard.
NEVER LEAVE GRILL UNATTENDED AT HIGH HEAT SETTINGS: High heat can cause smoking and ignite grease.
DO NOT CLEAN UNIT WITH PRESSURIZED WATER: This voids warranty and risks electric shock. Clean with a cloth and stainless steel or glass cleaner.
STORAGE: Store portable grills indoors. Built-in grills require suitable shelter from rain. Covers are available at www.CookWithKenyon.com.
TO PREVENT SMOKE: Place 2 cups of water (or enough to cover the bottom) in the grease pan before cooking.
DO NOT USE POTS OR OTHER BAKEWARE ON THE GRILL.
KEEP THESE INSTRUCTIONS WITH THE GRILL FOR FUTURE REFERENCE.
