1.2 Chassis design and dimensions
The speed gates feature a SUS304 stainless steel body, offering a simple, clean, and anti-corrosion design. The SBTL8000 series grants legal access to authorized persons and restricts illegal access. In case of an emergency, the lock will release to allow fast evacuation and egress.
The design and dimensions of the SBTL8000 series are illustrated below:
Figure 1-2: Diagram showing the overall dimensions and layout of the speed gates. The side view indicates dimensions such as 1040.00mm (width), 800.00mm (length), 295.00mm (depth of barrier arms), 453.65mm (height of cabinet), and 1600.00mm (overall length).
1.3 The mechanical system of the speed gates
The mechanical system comprises the cabinet and the core mechanism. The cabinet is equipped with a mode indicator, an infrared sensor, and a locking system. The core mechanism primarily consists of the motor, chassis, core, and the swing arm (glass panel).
1.4 Electric control system
The electric control system is mainly composed of the master control panel, the infrared sensor, the mode indicator, and the loudspeaker.
- Master control panel: The core component that receives signals from the photoelectric switch, performs logical judgment and processing, and issues commands to the mode indicator, servo motor driver, and loudspeaker.
- Infrared sensor: Detects pedestrian location and provides a safety protection function.
- Mode indicator: Displays the current passing mode status of the channel, guiding passengers orderly and safely.
- Loudspeaker: Triggers an alarm if unauthorized entry is detected.
1.5 Operation principle of the speed gates
Upon connection to power, the system performs a self-check. If no issues are detected, it operates normally. Any detected failures will be displayed as messages on the LCD screen for user awareness and troubleshooting.
Figure 1-3: Diagram showing internal components including an air switch, master control panel, and other electronic modules.
When a valid card or fingerprint is detected by the reader, the display screen indicates the success or failure of the operation, and a switch instruction signal is transmitted to the master control panel.
After receiving signals from the reader and the infrared sensor, the master control panel sends control signals to the servo motor driver. If the system is in a forbidden passing mode, the mode indicator light will turn red, and the master control panel will not accept further card swiping or fingerprint scanning signals.
As a passenger passes through the channel, the infrared sensor continuously detects their movement and signals the main control panel until the passage is clear.
If a pedestrian enters the passage but forgets to swipe their card, or if the card is invalid, an audible alarm will sound, warning the pedestrian to stop. The alarm will cease only when the pedestrian retreats from the passage. Passage is permitted only after successful verification with a valid card.
1.6 System composition of the product
The single-passage management system consists of two single-core speed gates. The multi-passage management system is composed of two single-core barriers and multiple dual-core barriers.
Working modes of the system
To meet diverse needs, the system offers multiple working modes: normal working mode, normally open mode, normally closed mode, and testing mode. After power is supplied, the LCD screen on the control board displays the default state, indicating the current working mode.
