Headrest Adjustment

Height adjustment: Pull up on headrest to raise. Press the lock knob while pushing down on the headrest to lower.

Seat Belt Adjustment (Front seat)

Features and Controls

Steering Wheel Adjustment

Allows adjustment for Tilt and Telescopic motion. Pull the lever downward, set the angle and distance, then push the lever upward. Ensure the lever is locked into place before driving.

Warning: Never adjust the steering wheel while driving. You may lose steering control and cause severe personal injury, death, or accidents.

Fuel Filler Lid

Pull up to open. After adding fuel, always reinstall the fuel cap onto the filler neck by rotating it clockwise until it clicks once. Failure to do this may result in the Check Engine Light illuminating.

Check the engine oil regularly between recommended oil changes.

Instrument Panel Illumination

Push the control switch up or down to adjust brightness.

Trip Computer

Press the TRIP button to select functions: Trip A/B, Range, Average fuel consumption, Elapsed time, Average speed.

Climate Control (Manual)

Features include Mode selection buttons, Front windshield defroster button, Air conditioning button, Fan speed control knob, Rear window defroster button, Air intake control button, Temperature control knob, and MAX A/C button.

Climate Control (Automatic)

Features include Front windshield defroster button, Temperature control button, AUTO button, Mode selection button, OFF button, Passenger temperature control button, Dual temperature control setting button, and Fan speed control knob.

Steering Wheel Functions

Cruise Control

Driver Selectable Steering Mode (DSSM)

Controls steering effort. Pressing the button scrolls through modes: Comfort (Light), Normal, Sport (Heavy).

Bluetooth Operational Tips

Difficulty hearing may occur when Bluetooth volume is high, driving on rough roads with windows down, or when the air conditioning fan is at max speed. Keep Bluetooth volume low to reduce distortion and echo.

Voice Recognition Tips

Operate phones without taking eyes off the road. Performance may be affected by open windows, HVAC system, tunnels, or rough roads. Refer to Owner's Manual for complete commands.

Bluetooth Phone Pairing

Pairing tutorials, phone compatibility, and operational tips can be found via QR codes or at www.hyundaiusa.com/bluetooth.

Phone setup (pairing phone) with Audio:

  1. Push the PHONE button.
  2. Select "Phone" by rotating TUNE knob, then press to select.
  3. Select "Pair" by rotating TUNE knob, then press to select.
  4. Enable Bluetooth on your phone.
  5. Select "ELANTRA" on your mobile phone from the Bluetooth list.
  6. Input passkey displayed on screen if applicable.
  7. If prompted for phonebook access, check "Always allow" or "Don't ask again".

Phone setup (pairing phone) with Navigation:

  1. Press the call button.
  2. Press "YES" on the PHONE screen, then press "Connections".
  3. Press "Add New" to pair a new mobile phone.
  4. Enable Bluetooth on your phone. Input the passkey displayed (initial passkey is 0000).
  5. If prompted for phonebook access, check "Always allow" or "Don't ask again".

Note: Vehicle must be in Park to complete pairing process.

Blue Link Telematic System

Press the button for access to voice-response menu of services. Options include "Main Menu" or direct selection of menu items. In-car commands include New Destination, Service Link, Roadside Assistance, Valet Alert, Help, and Cancel.

Remote Door Unlock/Lock (Blue Link Mobile App)

Download the Blue Link mobile app from Apple App Store or Google Play. Lock or unlock doors remotely via the app, by dialing a toll-free number, or using the owner's website.

To Activate Remote Door Unlock/Lock:

Standard Radio

Complimentary XM subscription ends three months following the vehicle date of sale. Contact XM Radio at 1-800-XM-RADIO (1-800-967-2346) to renew.

Navigation

Navigation Map

Press MAP button to display map position. Refer to Digital Navigation System User's Manual for details.

Navigation Destination Menu

Press DEST button to display destination menu:

AUX, USB and iPod Port

Use the jack to connect an external audio device and listen through the vehicle's audio system speakers. Connect Apple-supplied USB cable to the USB port to operate iPod.

Seat Warmer

Clock Adjustment

Automatic Transmission

Shift lever positions: P (Park), R (Reverse), N (Neutral), D (Drive). Depress brake pedal when shifting. Sport mode: Move shift lever from D to the left gate. Move lever forward (+) to upshift or rearward (-) to downshift.

Manual Transmission

Shifting into Reverse: Depress clutch pedal fully, ensure shifter is in Neutral. Press the reverse lock-out button and move shift lever left and forward into Reverse. Release clutch slowly.

Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)

Note: Tire pressure may vary in colder temperatures causing the low tire pressure light to illuminate.

Electronic Stability Control (ESC)

Helps maintain vehicle control under adverse conditions. To turn ESC off, press the button (indicator illuminates). To turn ESC on, press again. System defaults to ON at start.

Active ECO System

To improve fuel efficiency:

Rearview Camera

Activates when ignition is ON and shift lever is in R (Reverse). Displays image on rearview display.

Tire Mobility Kit

Setup:

  1. Remove speed restriction label from sealant bottle and place on steering wheel.
  2. Ensure compressor is OFF.
  3. Screw compressor hose onto sealant bottle connector.
  4. Insert sealant bottle into compressor housing.
  5. Screw filling hose onto tire's valve stem.
  6. Insert compressor power plug into vehicle's power outlet.
  7. Turn ignition to ON or press Engine Start/Stop button twice.

Inflate Tire:

  1. Switch ON compressor, run for approx. 5 minutes.
  2. Switch OFF compressor, check pressure is over 32 psi. If not, puncture is too large; contact Hyundai Roadside Assistance.
  3. Remove filling hose, compressor hose, and power plug.

Drive Vehicle:

Drive for approximately 6 miles or 10 minutes, no faster than 50 mph.

Recheck Tire Pressure:

  1. Screw compressor hose directly to tire valve.
  2. Insert compressor power plug into vehicle's power outlet.
  3. Adjust to recommended tire pressure (on driver side door jam placard).
  4. To increase pressure: Switch ON compressor.
  5. To check pressure: Briefly switch OFF compressor.
  6. To reduce pressure: Loosen knob on gauge. Tighten knob to set pressure.

Child-Protector Rear Door Lock

Insert key into hole and turn to Lock (allows opening rear door handle only from outside) or Unlock (allows opening from inside and outside).

Rear Seat Folding

Instructions for folding rear seats are typically found in the Owner's Manual.
