Overview

The HH Aptur range offers a versatile selection of loudspeakers designed for professional audio installations. The series includes ceiling-mounted loudspeakers (APT-C), pendant loudspeakers (APT-P6), column array loudspeakers (APT-CL), and surface-mount subwoofers (APT-W8S). These products are engineered with Celestion drivers for clear, immersive sound and are designed for seamless integration into various environments, from hospitality to corporate settings.

APT-C Series

Integrable 2-way ceiling-mounted loudspeakers available in 4-inch, 6.5-inch, and 8-inch sizes. They feature custom-designed horn flare profiles for enhanced clarity and uniformity. The APT-C8S is an 8-inch ceiling mount subwoofer that complements the series by providing rich bass response.

APT-P6 Series

An elegant 2-way pendant loudspeaker designed to extend the Aptur range into spaces with high ceilings or limited ceiling cavity. It features a Celestion 6.5-inch coaxial driver and a custom horn flare profile for balanced sound distribution.

APT-CL Series

Sleek column array loudspeakers (APT-CL63 and APT-CL103) designed for clarity and directivity, ideal for acoustically challenging spaces. They utilize Celestion 2.75-inch neodymium drivers and offer adjustable downward tilt for precise sound coverage.

APT-W8S Series

A surface-mountable 8-inch subwoofer providing low-frequency extension with a direct radiating design. Its slimline enclosure and included mounting bracket allow for discreet integration into any environment.

Installation Guides

APT-C Installation Guide

1. Prepare Installation Site: Turn off power to the amplifier or audio source. Confirm the ceiling structure can support the speaker's weight.
2. Cut Speaker Hole: Use the provided template to mark and cut the mounting hole in the ceiling or ceiling tile.
3. Install Tile Bridge (if applicable): Place support rails over the ceiling tile grid, align with the speaker position, and connect the mounting ring.
4. Connect to Euroblock Terminal: Connect speaker cables to the 4-pin Euroblock connector. Pin Connections: Pin 1 (+) = Positive input, Pin 2 (+) = Positive link out, Pin 3 (-) = Negative input, Pin 4 (-) = Negative link out.
5. Mount the Speaker: Choose the correct orientation for the dog-leg mounts based on ceiling thickness. Attach the mounts to the speaker. Secure the safety tether to a fixed anchor point above the ceiling. Connect the wired Euroblock to the speaker. Insert the speaker into the ceiling cut-out and push into place. Tighten the dog-leg mount screws to secure the speaker.
6. Final Steps: Choose the appropriate transformer tap setting using the rotary switch (for 70V/100V systems; select 8Ω to bypass for Lo-Z). Snap the magnetic grille into place. Test the speaker by turning on the amplifier and playing audio.

APT-P6 Installation Guide

1. Prepare Installation Site: Turn off power. Confirm the ceiling can support the speaker's weight.
2. Install Steel Cable: APT-P6 includes two 3.5m steel cables. Wrap or thread cables around suspension points (beams, eyebolts). Cut to length, secure with included crimps. Thread the other end through the carabiner and crimp. Repeat for the second cable. Remove the magnetic rear cover and cable insert from the speaker. Attach carabiners to the rear suspension point.
3. Connect to Euroblock Terminal: Connect speaker cables to the 4-pin Euroblock connector (Pin 1 (+) = Positive input, Pin 2 (+) = Positive link out, Pin 3 (-) = Negative input, Pin 4 (-) = Negative link out). Connect the wired Euroblock to the speaker.
4. Final Steps: Snap the magnetic rear cover and cable insert into place. Choose the transformer tap setting using the rotary switch. Install the magnetic grille. Test the speaker.

APT-CL Installation Guide

1. Prepare Installation Site: Turn off power. Select a location with adequate wall strength and desired sound coverage.
2. Install Mounting Bracket: Mark drill holes using the bracket as a template. Drill holes and insert wall anchors. Secure the bracket to the wall with screws.
3. Connect to Euroblock Terminal: Connect speaker cables to the 4-pin Euroblock connector (Pin 1 (+) = Positive input, Pin 2 (+) = Positive link out, Pin 3 (-) = Negative input, Pin 4 (-) = Negative link out). Connect the wired Euroblock to the speaker. Select the multi-tap transformer setting.
4. Connect APT-CL to Bracket: Choose the speaker position, utilizing multiple mounting points for height and tilt adjustment. Hang the speaker using the eyelets on the bracket and the speaker's fixed mounting point. Angle the speaker to the desired downward tilt using the pin and slots on the bracket.
5. Final Steps: Test the speaker by turning on the amplifier and playing audio.

APT-W8S Installation Guide

1. Prepare Installation Site: Turn off power. Confirm the structure can handle the weight of the APT-W8S.
2. Surface Mount Installation: Mark drill holes using the mounting bracket as a template. Drill holes and insert wall anchors. Fix the hook bracket to the wall using appropriate screws. Hang the APT-W8S by aligning the slot on its rear with the connected hook bracket.
3. Connect to Euroblock Terminal: Connect speaker cables to the 4-pin Euroblock connector (Pin 1 (+) = Positive input, Pin 2 (+) = Positive link out, Pin 3 (-) = Negative input, Pin 4 (-) = Negative link out). Connect the wired Euroblock to the speaker. Select the multi-tap transformer setting.
4. Final Steps: Test the speaker by turning on the amplifier and playing audio.

Power Modes

Aptur products feature a multi-tap transformer supporting both 70V/100V line systems and Lo-Z (low impedance) operation. 70V/100V systems allow multiple speakers to be connected in parallel, requiring cables capable of handling the working current and an amplifier with sufficient drive capacity. Transformer tap settings are detailed in the specifications and can be adjusted via a rotary switch on the speaker. Ensure polarity consistency across all units and match tap settings to amplifier load.

1. Unpacking: Check for any transit damage. Repack in original carton if damaged and consult your dealer. Keep original carton for potential returns.
2. Amplifier Connection: Establish a pattern for turning systems on and off. Turn on source equipment, mixers, etc., BEFORE the amplifier. Turn on amplifier LAST with level control at minimum. Turn off amplifier FIRST when powering down.
3. Cables: Use only appropriately rated speaker cables. Do not use shielded or microphone cables for speaker connections.
4. Servicing: Do not attempt to service. Refer all servicing to qualified personnel.
5. Heed all warnings and follow all instructions.
6. Avoid Contact with Water: Do not expose to rain, liquids, or excessive moisture unless rated for outdoor use.
7. Clean only with a dry cloth.
8. Do not block ventilation openings. Install according to manufacturer's instructions.

11. Risk of Falling / Crushing Hazard: Loudspeakers can be heavy. Use appropriate lifting techniques and handle with care. Avoid stacking units unless properly secured.
12. Use Only Approved Rigging Hardware: Follow relevant standards (e.g., EN 60598-2-17, DIN 56950, BGV C1) for flown or stage-mounted loudspeakers. Use manufacturer-approved brackets and follow local regulations.
13. Surface Placement: Ensure loudspeakers are placed on a level and stable surface. Do not place on elevated platforms where vibration could cause movement or falls.
14. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel for any damage, malfunction, or exposure to rain/moisture.
15. Hearing Loss Warning: Exposure to extremely high noise levels can cause permanent hearing loss. Use hearing protection when operating equipment at high sound pressure levels. Follow OSHA, EU, and UK regulations regarding noise exposure limits.
16. Always keep speaker output levels within safe exposure limits.
17. If the appliance has a tilting mechanism, use with caution on a level, stable surface.
18. Surface Placement: Ensure the loudspeaker is placed on a level and stable surface.

Symbol Descriptions:

CAUTION / ATTENTION / PRECAUCION / VORSICHT: Alerts to the presence of uninsulated 'Dangerous Voltage' within the enclosure, posing a risk of electrical shock.

WARNING: Alerts to the presence of important operating and maintenance instructions in the accompanying literature.

WARNING (Risk of electrical shock - DO NOT OPEN): Indicates that the cover should not be removed as there are no user-serviceable parts inside. Refer servicing to qualified personnel.

WARNING (Prevent electrical shock or fire hazard): Advises against exposing the appliance to rain or moisture and to read operating instructions for further warnings.
