Activity Tracking

1. Starting Activity

There are two ways to start an Activity:

Amazfit Bip supports outdoor running, treadmill, cycling, and walking. Before starting, ensure sufficient storage space on the watch to prevent unsynchronized data from being overwritten. It is recommended to connect and sync data immediately after finishing an activity.

For sports modes requiring GPS (outdoor running, cycling, walking), start the activity after GPS successfully obtains a location.

2. Activity Initiated

If the GPS option is initiated and started, the watch will provide a three-second countdown before tracking begins.

3. Alerts during Activity

From the watch's home screen, swipe left to access "Activity" ➔ "Activity settings". Tap "Activity settings" to set "Auto pause", "Heart rate alert", "Pace alert", and "Distance alert".

4. Basic approach during Activity

On the activity interface, long press the key to pause the activity; short press the key to switch the screen. You can also switch the screen by swiping up or down manually.

Illustration: Two smartwatch screens during activity. One shows "Long Press to pause the activity" and "Short press to switch the screen". The other shows activity data like time, distance, and heart rate, with arrows indicating swipe directions.

5. Suspending/Continuing/Ending Activity

Press and hold the physical button to pause the activity. The paused interface will display. Tap "Continue" to resume or "End" to stop.

Note: If you ran less than 50 meters, the watch will prompt "distance is too short to save".

6. Viewing Activity History

View activity history on both your watch and the Mi Fit App.

1) Watch

From the watch's home screen, swipe left to access "Activity" ➔ "Activity history". If an unsynchronized activity record exists, an icon will appear. This icon disappears after successful synchronization. Tap a record for detailed data.

2) Mi Fit App

Open Mi Fit App ➔ Activity (below the home page) to view all synchronized activity records.

7. Deleting Activity History

From the watch's home screen, swipe left to access "Activity" ➔ "Activity history". Swipe up to find "Delete".

Note: Ensure the activity is synchronized with the app before deleting it from the watch. To delete from the app, do so manually within the app.

8. Activity Settings

From the watch's home screen, swipe left to access "Activity" ➔ "Activity settings". Tap "Activity settings" to set "Auto pause", "Heart rate alert", "Pace alert", and "Distance alert". Activated alerts will provide reminders during the activity.

9. GPS and A-GPS

When starting outdoor running, the watch automatically searches for a GPS signal. You can skip this step by tapping "Skip", but GPS will continue searching during your activity.

  1. If GPS is initiated and started, the watch provides a three-second countdown. Long press the physical button to "pause" and tap "continue" to resume or "end" to stop.
  2. After finishing and syncing, view GPS route and details in the watch and Mi Fit App.
  3. GPS signal is best in open spaces. After successful location, you can start the activity. In crowded areas, raising your arm to your chest can speed up GPS positioning.

Assisted GPS (A-GPS) helps GPS receivers obtain information from network resources to assist satellite location, especially useful where satellite signals are difficult to penetrate. A-GPS helps your watch find your precise position quickly and improves accuracy. A-GPS data updates daily and is automatically updated each time you sync with the Mi Fit App.

Note: If the watch hasn't synced with the Mi Fit App for 7 days, A-GPS data will expire, potentially affecting positioning speed.

10. Heart Rate Zone

During activity, the watch calculates your heart rate zone based on your personal information, helping determine activity effect and intensity. The current heart rate zone is displayed next to the heart rate on the watch. After activity, view duration in each heart rate zone from the "Details" page of Activity history on the app.

There are six default zones: Relaxed, Light, Weight, Aerobic, Anaerobic, and VO2 max. These are calculated based on estimated maximum heart rate, using the "220 minus age" formula.
