Front Panel Description
The front panel features a digital display showing voltage and current values. It includes an adjustment knob for voltage and another for current. A power ON/OFF button is also present. Output terminals for voltage and current, along with USB and RS232 interfaces, are located on the front panel.
Condition indicators (LED Panel Lights) include:
- OCP: Over Current Protection indicator. Lights up when the power supply is in OCP mode.
- C.C: Constant Current indicator. Lights up when the power supply is in constant current mode.
- C.V: Constant Voltage indicator. Lights up when the power supply is in constant voltage mode.
- LOCK: Panel LOCK Indicator.
The voltmeter displays the setup value of the output voltage, and the ammeter displays the setup value of the output current.
Voltage and Current Adjustment Knob Operation
There are three adjustment modes for voltage and current levels: Mode 1, Mode 2, and Mode 3 (remote control mode).
Modes 1 and 2 can be shifted by pushing both the voltage and current adjustment knobs simultaneously and holding for 2 seconds.
Mode 1: LOCK Adjustment Mode
Voltage Adjustment Knob: Push the voltage adjustment knob. The voltage meter will flicker, indicating that the voltage output can be changed by rotating the knob. Pushing the knob again changes the resolution of the voltage adjustment.
Current Adjustment Knob: Push the Current Adjustment Knob. The voltage meter will flicker, allowing voltage output to be changed by adjusting the knob. Pushing the knob again when the meter flickers changes the resolution of the knob rotation. This mode will be closed.
Mode 2 & Mode 3 Operation
Mode 2: Continuous Adjustment Mode
In Mode 2, rotate the adjustment knobs directly to set the voltage and current values. The default voltage initial setting is 1V, and the default current initial setting is 100mA. Voltage and current levels can also be changed by pushing the knobs.
Operation of Over Current Protection (OCP)
Press and hold the OCP ON/OFF button for 3 seconds to activate OCP mode. The output will be cut off when the output current reaches the set value. In OCP mode, rotating the knob recovers the output. Pressing and holding the button for 3 seconds again deactivates the OCP function.
Mode 3: Remote Control Mode
Push and hold the VOLTAGE knob for 3 seconds to lock the VOLTAGE and CURRENT adjustment knobs. The output of the power supply will turn off. In this state, the CURRENT adjustment knob controls the output; pushing the CURRENT knob turns the power supply output ON and OFF. Push and hold the VOLTAGE knob again for 3 seconds to unlock the VOLTAGE and CURRENT adjustment knobs.
Power Switch and Output Terminals
- POWER: Controls the main power ON/OFF.
- +/- Terminals: Output voltage and current.
- Ground Terminal: Connects to the ground (earth) terminal.
