- To ensure fire protection, replace the fuse only with the specified type and rating.
- Disconnect the power cord before fuse replacement.
- Make sure the cause of fuse blowout is fixed before fuse replacement.
Front Panel Description
The front panel of the KORAD KD3000-6000 Series DC Power Supply features various controls and indicators for operation.
Controls and Indicators:
- Display of Voltage & Current Value: Two digital displays showing the set voltage and current.
- Adjustment Knob for Voltage: Used to set the output voltage.
- Power ON/OFF Button: Toggles the main power of the unit.
- Adjustment Knob for Current: Used to set the output current.
- Output Terminals: Positive (+), Negative (-), and Ground (GND) terminals for connecting the load.
- Fan: Cooling fan for heat dissipation.
- Power Socket: Connection point for the AC power cord.
- Indicators:
- OCP: Over-Current Protection indicator.
- C.C: Constant Current indicator.
- C.V: Constant Voltage indicator.
- LOCK: Panel Lock indicator.
Operational Controls:
- Voltage Adjustment Knob:
- Push the knob to enable voltage adjustment; the voltage meter will flicker.
- Rotate the knob to change the voltage value.
- Push the knob again to change the resolution of voltage adjustment.
- Press and hold for 3 seconds to lock the front panel controls; press and hold again for 3 seconds to unlock.
- Current Adjustment Knob:
- Push the knob to enable current adjustment; the current meter will flicker.
- Rotate the knob to change the current value.
- Push the knob again when the meter flickers to change the resolution of current adjustment.
- Press and hold for 3 seconds to activate OCP mode (output is cut off when set current is reached). In OCP mode, rotate the knob to recover output. Press and hold for 3 seconds again to disable OCP function.
- POWER: Press to turn the main power ON or OFF.
Display Information:
- Voltage level: The voltmeter displays the setup value of the output voltage.
- Current level: The ammeter displays the setup value of the output current.
Condition Indication:
- OCP: Lights up when the Over-Current Protection is active.
- C.C: Lights up when the power supply is operating in Constant Current mode.
- C.V: Lights up when the power supply is operating in Constant Voltage mode.
- LOCK: Lights up when the panel controls are locked.
Important Warnings:
WARNING:
- TO AVOID ELECTRIC SHOCK, THE POWER CORD PROTECTIVE GROUNDING CONDUCTOR MUST BE CONNECTED TO GROUND.
- FOR CONTINUED FIRE PROTECTION, REPLACE FUSE WITH 250V FUSE OF THE SPECIFIED TYPE AND RATING.
- NO OPERATION SERVICEABLE COMPONENTS INSIDE. DO NOT REMOVE COVERS; REFER SERVICING TO QUALIFIED PERSONNEL.
