Programming the Timer #2

E. How to Use OVERRIDE Functions

The TM-619 programming-mode Timer is designed with 2 Override functions to widen its usage for practical applications. Override functions are effective only when the Timer is running under AUTO mode.

Temporary Override

Follow the procedure below:

  • Condition 1: When Timer's output status is "ON". Press [MANUAL] key to move the indicator from "AUTO" to "OFF". The Timer output will turn to "OFF" status, overriding programs. Pressing [MANUAL] again to switch the Timer status back to "AUTO" will maintain the "OFF" status. The Timer will resume automatic operation when the next program event calls for "ON".

Pressing [MANUAL] again to switch the Timer status back to "AUTO" will maintain the "ON" status. The Timer will resume automatic operation when the next program event calls for "OFF".

Random Start-Up Override

Press and hold the [DAY] key and then press the [MIN] key. A symbol will appear on the left corner of the LCD screen to indicate this Override is executing.

When this Override is active, original programs are stopped. Once every 10 to 120 minutes, the Timer will automatically turn its output to "ON" status.

In practical applications, this function is also known as the Anti-Burglar Override.

To terminate this Override, press and hold the [DAY] key again and then press the [MIN] key.
