Installation Instructions
Bumper Removal
- Remove the rear light clusters. This involves removing a black plastic cover on the inside edge of the tailgate opening, which reveals two fixings for each cluster.
- Remove the undertray (four fixings).
- Remove the rear bumper: two fixings from the lower edge, two fixings from the top edge, and four fixings from each wheel arch.
- Remove the rear impact beam from the rear panel. Also remove the two threaded clips from the lower mounting points (these are not refitted with the Towbar assembly).
Towbar Fitting
- Attach the Crossmember (Item A) to the rear panel using M10 x 40 bolts (Item E) and 10 x 25 flat washers (Item J). Ensure the exhaust hangers are refitted to the lower mounting points.
- Attach the Handed Side Arms (Item B) to the Crossmember (Item A) using M12 x 45 (10.9) bolts and Nyloc nuts (Item G) with 12 x 25 flat washers (Item K).
- Attach the Handed Side Arms (Item B) to the vertical mounting points using M12 x 40 thread rolling bolts (Item F). ? NOTE: These are untapped holes, and the bolts supplied are designed to cut their own thread. Torque: 80 Nm.
- Attach the Extension (Item C) to the Crossmember (Item A) using M12 x 45 (12.9) bolts and Nyloc nuts (Item H) with 12 x 25 flat washers (Item K). Torque: 145 Nm.
- Attach your desired ball bracket (not supplied in this kit) to the Extension (Item C) using M16 x 50 bolts and Nyloc nuts (Item D).
- Fully tighten all fixings, ensuring the Towbar is rigid, square, and secure.
- Refit the rear bumper and light clusters.
- Choose one of the following options for the Towbar bumper cover.
Towbar Bumper Cover Options
Option 1: ? Order From Dealership

Option 2: ✂️ Cut Original Bumper Cover
This option requires cutting the original bumper undertray. The cut should be approximately 400mm in length, with a radius of R35 at the corners. Specific cut-out dimensions are 155mm and 40mm at the indicated points.

? Recommended Torque Setting for M12 Grade 10.9 bolts is 139 Nm. (For other Torque Settings, see notes overleaf.)
