SEVERIN Appliance Warranty Information
For models: RKG 8920, RKG 8922, RKG 8923, RKG 8925
Your Statutory Rights
If a SEVERIN appliance is defective, buyers have statutory rights regarding defects. These rights are free of charge and must be asserted against the dealer from whom the appliance was purchased. Contractual agreements with the dealer must be observed. This warranty does not restrict these statutory rights.
SEVERIN's Warranty Promise
SEVERIN, as the manufacturer, voluntarily provides an additional warranty service. If an appliance is found to be defective at the time of risk transfer (upon receipt) according to legal provisions, SEVERIN will, at its discretion, remedy the defect free of charge within a reasonable time or provide a new, defect-free appliance. This is not a durability warranty.
This warranty is valid for appliances purchased new, bearing the article number stated on the front. It does not apply to used, repaired, or refurbished equipment.
To claim warranty service, rights must be asserted within two years of receiving the appliance (e.g., from shop pickup or delivery date). SEVERIN does not cover additional voluntary obligations like transport or installation/dismantling costs. Statutory obligations remain unaffected.
Warranty Exclusions
A warranty claim is not valid for defects or faults caused by:
- Incorrect setup or installation, including non-compliance with safety regulations or written instructions.
- Improper use, incorrect operation, or misuse.
- External influences such as transport damage, shock, impact, or weather conditions.
- Power and voltage fluctuations outside tolerance limits.
- Failure to perform maintenance and cleaning as per instructions.
- Wear and tear from use, such as decreasing battery capacity or components requiring regular replacement (e.g., bulbs).
How to Claim Warranty
To assert warranty rights, contact your contract partner (the dealer) with the following information:
- Full name, address, and contact details (phone or email).
- A description of the defect (brief description of symptoms is sufficient).
- Date of purchase or delivery.
The dealer will then contact SEVERIN. Alternatively, customers can contact SEVERIN customer service directly with the same information.
Detailed contact information for specific countries is available in the appendix of the warranty statement or on the SEVERIN website: www.severin.com.
