iPega PG-9021 Classic Bluetooth Gamepad User Manual

Introduction

Thank you for purchasing the iPega developed Classic Bluetooth Gamepad. This gamepad supports playing games on Bluetooth-enabled Android 3.2v+ tablets/smartphones/TV boxes/smart TVs/VR, and Win7/Win8/Win10 PCs without requiring any drivers.

It features an ergonomic, streamlined design for comfortable hand-held feel. Multimedia player buttons including "volume +", "volume -", "previous track", "next track", and "Play / Pause" are also included.

Please note that due to official game platform software upgrades or source code changes, some games may not be playable or connectable with this gamepad. iPega company assumes no responsibility for such instances and reserves the right of final interpretation.

Important Note for iOS Users: Due to authorization limitations on iOS devices (iPhone/iPad), this functionality may currently be restricted to users in mainland China.

Operating Instructions

Android Device Connection

Follow these steps to connect to an Android device:

1. Press and hold the X button and the [home-button] simultaneously for 2 seconds. Release both buttons when the LED1 indicator flashes quickly. [Diagram: Illustration of pressing X and Home buttons]
2. On your Android device, open the Bluetooth settings and initiate a search for devices.

Important Notes for Game Capability on Android

1. Download simulator games from third-party game apps. Scan the QR code or visit www.xiaoji001.com in your phone browser to download the Android Game Center app, which offers a wide selection of supported games.
2. Download gamepad-enabled games (similar to console games) from the Google Play Store for direct play. Some games, like ShadowGun, allow button mapping within their settings.
3. For online games such as PUBG, Mobile Legends, or Rules of Survival downloaded from Google Play Store, you may need to download the Octopus driver for button mapping. Refer to the operation guide video on PEGA HK Youtube for instructions.

iOS Device Connection

Follow these steps to connect to an iOS device:

1. Press and hold the Y button and the [home-button] simultaneously for 2 seconds. LED1 and LED2 indicators will flash quickly. [Diagram: Illustration of pressing Y and Home buttons]

4. This mode supports iOS devices with system version 9.3.0 and above.

iOS Button Mapping Functionality

This feature is primarily for users in mainland China and supports iOS third-party game platforms. If you need to change button functions, you can do so within the game hall app.

1. To change button functions, operate the gamepad within the game hall app.
2. iPega Game Hall Mapping Method: Simultaneously press the START + SELECT combination buttons to bring up the mapping menu. [Diagram: Illustration of START+SELECT buttons]
3. Fangge Game Hall Mapping Method: Simultaneously press the L3 + SELECT combination buttons to bring up the mapping menu. [Diagram: Illustration of L3+SELECT buttons]
4. Drag the desired button to the corresponding touch function key and overlap them to save. You can then operate the game.
5. Note: Some native games that support gamepads may not be able to invoke the mapping menu.

PC Device Connection (USB Cable)

To connect your gamepad to a PC using a USB data cable:

1. Connect the gamepad to a USB port on your PC using the provided USB cable. No driver installation is required.
2. When connected to WIN7 or above systems, the indicator light will turn on, signifying the X-INPUT mode.
3. In X-INPUT wired mode, the gamepad supports operation for the vast majority of classic large-scale PC games.

PC Device Connection (Bluetooth)

To connect your gamepad to a PC via Bluetooth:

1. With the gamepad turned off, press and hold the X button and the [home-button] simultaneously to search for Bluetooth devices. (If your PC has built-in Bluetooth, proceed to step 2.2).
2. Insert the Bluetooth 4.0 receiver into a USB interface on your PC. The Windows system will automatically install the necessary drivers. [Diagram: USB port with Bluetooth receiver]
3. After successful driver installation, a Bluetooth device symbol will appear in the lower right corner of your computer screen. [Diagram: Bluetooth symbol in system tray]
4. Move the mouse cursor to the Bluetooth symbol, right-click, and select "Add Device". [Diagram: Right-click menu showing "Add Device"]
5. In the dialog box that appears, search for and select the device model "PG-9021". [Diagram: Device model icon in dialog box]
6. Click "Next" and select "Do not use the code to match". The device will be added automatically after confirmation, and a notification will indicate successful Bluetooth connection. The indicator light will remain on. [Diagram: Connection confirmation screen]
7. Once Bluetooth is successfully connected, the gamepad will be in D_INPUT mode, supporting games that run via emulators.

Gamepad Functions

Charge/Sleep/Wake Up

The gamepad includes charging, sleep, and wake-up functionalities:

• Charging: The LED4 indicator light remains on while charging and turns off when the battery is fully charged.
• Sleep/Wake Up: The gamepad will enter sleep mode if not used for 5 minutes. Press the [home-button] to wake it up and automatically reconnect.
• Low Battery Reminder: The LED4 indicator will flash quickly to remind you that the battery is low.

Notes and Precautions

• Please do not store this product in wet or high-temperature areas.
• Do not strike, drop, beat, pierce, or attempt to disassemble this product to avoid unnecessary damage.
• The product has built-in batteries; please do not discard them with general household waste.
• Do not charge the controller in a location near fire or other heat sources.
• Non-professional personnel should not disassemble the product, as it will not be covered by after-sales warranty service.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

• Q: I opened Bluetooth searching, but still can't pair it with my device?

  A: Please turn off and ignore the previous connected device. Then reopen Bluetooth for connection. If you still cannot connect, use a needle to press the [reset-button] on the back of the Gamepad for 5 seconds. Then reconnect the Bluetooth.

• Q: I cannot turn on the Gamepad.

  A: Please recharge the Gamepad before using it for the first time or after a long period of inactivity. Check if the charging indicator light turns on while charging and turns off once fully charged. If the charge indicator does not light up when the charge cable is connected to a power source, try a different USB cable or use a needle to press the [reset-button] on the back of the Gamepad for 5 seconds.

• Q: The joystick is moving by itself or other buttons are not working properly when I enter a game?

  A: Use a needle to press the [reset-button] on the back of the Gamepad for 5 seconds. Please be reminded not to touch wrong buttons while Bluetooth pairing.
