INOGENI TOGGLE ROOMS Firmware Release Notes

Here is the history of the Toggle Rooms releases:

1.28 – June 19, 2025New Features:
  • Added TCP to RS232 tunneling feature. The device will act as a bridge to send/receive data to/from RS232 device. See "user manual" under “Serial communication protocol” section for more details.
Improvements:
  • Adding import of SSL certificate for HTTPS through API.
  • Adding full support of GPI level mode.
Bug Fixes:
  • Corrected issue where device would not boot correctly when user applied an unsupported host name.
  • Corrected issue with front button in manual and custom mode that prevented the user from using it.
  • Corrected a rare issue where the product might not boot correctly during power up sequence due to a bad power connection.
  • Corrected issue while using BYOM mode, the device would switch current USB/HDMI host upon disconnection of other USB/HDMI host connections.
1.27 – May 22, 2025Improvements:
  • Corrected bootup sequence which may cause initialization issue.
Bug Fixes:
  • IMPORTANT! If your unit is running Release 1.26, you will need to upgrade your device through a USB connection using the Maestro application since the upgrade from the local web interface is not supported. This limitation is fixed when upgrading to this current firmware.
  • Fixed a rare issue where the product might become unresponsive.
1.26 – March 21, 2025Bug Fixes:
  • Fixed a rare issue where the product might become unresponsive.
New Features:
  • Added local web interface for user configuration, update and monitoring.
  • Added token support for secured control communication.
  • Since the device supports the mDNS networking protocol, you can access the web interface of the device using a link-local networking URL. This URL looks like the following example and includes the last 3 bytes of the MAC address and will end with the .local suffix:

Improvements:
  • Major optimization of HTTPS communication.
  • Fixed USB-C charging using ASUS Chromebook.
Bug Fixes:
  • Corrected communication issue with our Q-SYS control plugin.
1.25 – January 9, 2025New Features:
  • Added Q-SYS plugin support. See INOGENI website for Q-SYS control plugin.
  • Added additional information with the STATUS command, like HDCP and host priorities.
  • Added support for GPI configuration 3&4 based on current operation mode and priorities.
Improvements:
  • Major optimization of the video switching delay over USB-C and HDMI.
  • Added general stability to RS-232 and Ethernet interfaces.
1.24 – August 30, 2024Bug Fixes:
  • Fixed minor issues with Rest API commands and responses.
  • Fixed an issue where Telnet Server would send random characters.
  • Fixed an issue where the EDIDHDMIOUT command would send only half of the EDID.
  • Other minor bug fixes and improvements.
New Features:
  • Added "USB follows HDMI" and "HDMI follows USB" switching modes.
  • Added feature to copy EDID from display and share outputs.
  • Added ability to scan between the systems using front button and INO-Host button. Upon button press, here will be the behavior of the LED:
    • 1x led pulse indicates laptop USB-C selection.
    • 2x led pulses indicate laptop USB-B/HDMI selection.
  • Added priorities on specific USB-C, USB-B and HDMI ports.
Improvements:
  • Using factory defaults, the device will report a preconfigured EDID (1080p60) to the video sources to optimize switching time.
  • Small stability improvement when entering DP with some laptops.
  • Reporting a simple web interface to indicate the user to download our Maestro desktop application to configure and upgrade the unit. See “Known issues" section.
  • Automatic CEC control is now improved with systems that are always reporting the +5V supply from the HDMI connection when they are entering sleep mode.
  • Adding API command (HOSTBUTTON) to trigger the same functionality as the front button or INO-Host button.
Bug Fixes:
  • Corrected issue where the INO-Host Button would change the operation mode configuration.
1.20 – April 5, 2024New Features:
  • Improved USB-C VBUS overcurrent management.
Improvements:
  • Stability improvements regarding active cables.
  • Small stability improvement when entering DP with some laptops.
Bug Fixes:
  • Fixing an issue where USB-C stack would restart at attachment.
  • Fixing an issue with devices like tablets and cellphone where they would be charging but not entering DP mode.
  • Some additional fixes in the network config.
1.19 – March 14, 2024Official release.
