Read Before Use
Safety Caution
- Do not use in environments with corrosive substances such as intense radiation, high magnetic field, high temperature, high salinity, etc.
- Please set electronic key immediately in case the door is opened illegally.
- For your safety, please check the key box is opened or not.
- To power on the lock, four alkaline AA batteries (not included) are required. Non-alkaline and rechargeable batteries ARE NOT RECOMMENDED.
- Do not remove batteries when the lock is in working state.
Lock Parts
The eSSL GL300 lock comprises the following parts:
- Visual screen: Displays status information.
- Keypad: Numeric keypad for entering passwords.
- Strike box: The part that engages with the door frame.
- Fingerprint sensor: For biometric authentication.
- USB emergency external power: Port for emergency power supply.
- Speaker: Emits voice prompts and alerts.
- Thumb-turn Knob: For manual operation of the lock.
- Battery cover: Houses the batteries.
Basic Function
Random Password
Users can enter any number of random digits before or after the correct password, as long as the total number of digits entered does not exceed 30. For example, if the correct password is 123456, valid random passwords could be 89123456807, 1234562363, or 389123456.
Initialization
Initializing the lock resets all data and restores it to factory default settings. To initialize, press the reset button on the back of the lock or navigate through the menu. The lock will prompt "succeed" upon successful initialization.
Normal Open Mode
This mode keeps the lock permanently unlocked. Rotate the thumb-turn knob to enable or disable this mode. Alternatively, after unlocking with administrator verification, press 2 and 8 to toggle the mode. Press * to cancel any pending operations.
Low Battery Warning
When the battery level is low, the lock will emit a low battery sound. Access to operation is restricted in this state.
Others
The lock will automatically power off within 10 seconds if no operation is performed.

Notes:
- The lock can store one administrator and up to 99 regular users.
- The total capacity for card, password, and fingerprint across all groups is 300.
- Password length must be between six and ten digits.
Operation Guide
The keypad layout is as follows:
- Up: Key 2 (ABC)
- Left: Key 4 (GHI)
- Right: Key 6 (MNO)
- Down: Key 8 (TUV)
- Backspace: Key *
- Confirm/Doorbell: Key # (?)
- Numeric keys: 0, 1, 3, 5, 7, 9
How to Use
Verify Administrator
Operating Steps:
Press 0 and #.
Enter admin password/card/fingerprint.
If incorrect, voice prompt: "Invalid password/card/fingerprint".
If correct, proceed to "Enter menu".
Tip: Please verify the administrator before operating the lock. The default administrator password is 0123456789.
Modify Administrator Password/Card/Fingerprint
Operating Steps:
Press 0 and #.
Verify administrator.
Press # to enter "users". Click 8 to select "admin" and press #.
Edit admin password/card/fingerprint.
Voice prompt: "Succeed" or "Failed".
If "Succeed", the process is "Completed".
Add User
Operating Steps:
Press 0 and #.
Verify administrator.
Press # to enter "users". Click 8 to select "add user" and press #.
Enter user name and #, then edit user password/card/fingerprint.
Voice prompt: "Succeed" or "Failed".
If "Succeed", the process is "Completed".
Delete User
Operating Steps:
Press 0 and #.
Verify administrator.
Press #, enter "users".
Click 2 or 8 to select the user, press #.
Press 8, select "delete the user", press # to confirm.
Voice prompt: "Succeed".
Volume Adjustment
Operating Steps:
Press 0 and #.
Verify administrator.
Press 4 and #, enter "setting".
Click 2 or 8, select "volume", and press #. Adjust volume using keys 4 and 6.
Press # and voice prompt "Succeed".
Time Setting
Operating Steps:
Press 0 and #.
Verify administrator.
Press 4 to select "setting" and #.
Click 2 or 8, select "time", and press # to set up time.
Press # and voice prompt "Succeed".
Remote Control
Operating Steps:
Press 0 and #.
Verify administrator.
Press 4 to select "setting" and #.
Click 2 or 8 to select "telecontroller".
Press # again to scan remote device.
Press the ON and OFF buttons on the remote device simultaneously.
Completed, voice prompt "Succeed".
