WOINNMM D01 Solar Wireless Motion Sensor Quick Start Guide
Overview
This section provides an overview of the WOINNMM D01 Solar Wireless Motion Sensor.
The motion sensor unit features a solar panel on top for charging. The front has a sensor eye. It can be mounted using a hanging wallboard. The rear of the unit includes a Power/Sensitivity Switch with settings for OFF, LOW (18 feet detection range), and HIGH (30 feet detection range), and a DC 5V charging port. A silicone cover protects the switch area.
Powering and Pairing Sensor
Add (Pair) a New Sensor
If you need to add additional motion sensors to the base station, follow these steps:
- Step a: Power on the base station. Press and hold the Mode button for 3 seconds to enter pairing mode. Zone A will flash quickly for 30 seconds, indicating it's ready for pairing. A short press of the power button exits pairing mode.
- Step b: Power on the motion sensor. Wave your hand in front of the sensor eye. A red light will flash once in the sensor eye, confirming it's active.
- Step c: The base station will emit a unique tone to confirm successful pairing. The zone number will automatically increment (e.g., Zone A -> Zone B -> Zone C -> Zone D).
- Step d: To manually set the zone number, press and hold the Mode button for 3 seconds to enter pairing mode. Then, short press the Mode button to cycle through zone numbers until your desired zone is selected. Wave your hand in front of the sensor to complete the pairing for that zone.
Notes:
- Pair the motion sensor with the base station upon first use.
- Each channel has independent audio alerts for easy identification.
Sensor Setup and Testing
- Charging: Before installation, recharge the sensor (which includes an 18650 battery) using the AC adapter to ensure a full charge. A blue light indicates charging; it turns off when fully charged. Note: The sensor has been tested multiple times in the factory. If the blue light does not illuminate, the battery may already be fully charged, and you can proceed with installation.
- Sensitivity Switch: Open the black silicone seal cap at the bottom of the PIR Motion Sensor. Use the switch to select High (30 feet detection range), Low (18 feet detection range), or Off.
- Testing: Wave your hand in front of the PIR Motion Sensor. The Base Station will play a unique tone corresponding to the sensor's current setting.
The diagram illustrates the process of attaching the sensor to a bracket using screws, showing the sensor being positioned and then secured.
Installing the Sensor
- Mount the waterproof PIR Motion Sensor vertically on a solid surface, 3-5 feet (1-1.5 meters) above the ground. Ensure the sensor can swivel as needed. Position the sensor to avoid direct sunlight on the sensor eye, while keeping the solar cell facing upward.
- Vehicle Alert Installation: For detecting vehicles, the optimal mounting height is approximately 4 feet (1.2 meters). The PIR sensor detects movement via heat sources. Adjust the sensor eye horizontally to aim at the vehicle's engine area. Note: The sensors perform best within a temperature range of -4°F to 140°F (-20°C to 60°C). They may not function correctly outside this range.
The diagram shows the sensor mounted on a post, approximately 3-4 feet high, detecting a car. The detection beam is shown originating from the sensor eye and directed towards the car's engine.
Troubleshooting
- Issue: The PIR Motion Sensor operates, but the base station does not respond.
- Solution: Check the sensor switch settings. Refer to the Instruction Manual - Assembly & Setup for detailed guidance.
