Important Information

Please read this important information first.

Battery

The battery in your purchased watch is installed at the factory and should be replaced immediately upon the first signs of insufficient power (backlight not turning on, dim display) by your nearest CASIO dealer or distributor.

Water Resistance

Watches are classified by categories (from I to V) according to their water resistance. Clarify your watch's category using the table below for proper operation of your watch.

CategoryMarkings on CaseSplashes, Rain, etc.Car Washing, etc.Diving, etc.Scuba Diving, etc.
INoneNoNoNoNo
IIWATER RESISTANTYesNoNoNo
III50M WATER RESISTANTYesYesNoNo
IV100M WATER RESISTANTYesYesYesNo
V200M WATER RESISTANTYesYesYesYes
300M WATER RESISTANT

Notes for respective categories:

  • I. The watch is not water-resistant. Avoid any moisture.
  • II. Do not pull out the crown if the watch is wet.
  • III. Do not press the watch buttons underwater.
  • IV. If the watch is exposed to salt water, rinse it thoroughly and dry it.
  • V. The watch can be used for scuba diving (except for depths requiring a helium-oxygen mixture).

Additional Notes:

  • Some water-resistant watches feature leather straps. Do not wear these watches while swimming or engaging in any activity where the strap may be submerged in water.

Watch Care

  • Never attempt to open the case and remove the back cover.
  • Replacement of the rubber gasket protecting the watch from water and dust should be done every 2-3 years.
  • If moisture gets inside the watch, have it checked immediately by your nearest CASIO dealer or distributor.
  • Do not expose the watch to extreme temperatures.
  • Although the watch is designed for normal use, avoid rough handling and dropping it.
  • Do not fasten the strap too tightly. A finger should fit between your wrist and the strap.
  • To clean the watch and strap, use a dry soft cloth or a soft cloth dampened with a solution of mild neutral detergent. Never use volatile substances (e.g., gasoline, solvents, aerosol cleaners, etc.).
  • When not using your watch, store it in a dry place.
  • Avoid exposure of the watch to gasoline, cleaning solvents, aerosol sprays, adhesives, paint, etc. Chemical reactions caused by these materials can damage gaskets, the case, and the watch's finish.
  • Some watch models feature silk-screened designs on their straps. Be careful when cleaning such straps to avoid damaging these designs.

Plastic Straps

  • You may notice a whitish powdery substance on the strap. This substance is harmless to your skin or clothing and can be easily removed by simply wiping with a cloth.
  • Exposure of a plastic strap to sweat or moisture, or storage in high humidity conditions, can lead to damage, tearing, or cracking of the strap. To ensure a long service life for a plastic strap, wipe it clean of dirt and water with a soft cloth whenever possible.

Fluorescent Cases and Straps

  • Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight may cause the fluorescent color to gradually fade.
  • Extended contact with moisture may cause the fluorescent color to gradually fade. If any moisture gets on the watch surface, wipe it off as soon as possible.
  • Extended contact with any other wet surface may cause the fluorescent color to discolor. Ensure there is no moisture on the fluorescent surface and avoid contact with other surfaces.
  • Strong friction of a surface with fluorescent paint against another surface may transfer the fluorescent paint to that surface.

CASIO COMPUTER CO., LTD. is not responsible for any damage that may arise from the use of this watch, and does not accept any claims from third parties.

Setting Current Time

The watch has a crown on the side. This crown can be pulled out to different positions (clicks) to adjust settings.

  • Normal Position: The crown is pushed in.
  • First Click: The crown is pulled out one step. This position is used for setting the date.
  • Second Click: The crown is pulled out two steps. This position is used for setting the time (hour and minute hands) and stops the second hand.
  1. Pull the crown out to the second click when the second hand is at the 12 o'clock position. The second hand will stop.
  2. Turn the crown to set the current time.
  3. Return the crown to its normal position.

Setting Current Date

  1. Pull the crown out to the first click.
  2. Turn the crown to set the current date.
    • To set digits on the right, turn the crown towards you; to set digits on the left, turn the crown away from you.
  3. Return the crown to its normal position.

Notes:

  • Please note that at the beginning of each month, you must set the date to "01".
  • Do not set the date between 8:00 PM and 1:00 AM, as this may lead to incorrect settings.
  • If your watch has a rotating bezel, align it with the minute hand. This allows you to measure time intervals. The measured time indicated by the minute hand can be read on the bezel scale.
  • Some water-resistant watches have a screw-down crown. Therefore, before pulling out the crown, unscrew it. Be careful not to submerge the watch in water when the crown is unscrewed.
