Battery
The battery installed at the factory may be discharged during shipping and storage. If you notice signs of insufficient power (e.g., dim display), replace the battery at your nearest CASIO dealer or distributor.
Water Resistance
Watches are classified by water resistance levels (from 1 to V). Refer to the table below to understand your watch's rating and ensure proper usage.
Rating | Case Marking etc. | Splash, Rain | Washing, Dishwashing | Swimming, Snorkeling | Scuba Diving |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
I | None | No | No | No | No |
II | WATER RESISTANT | Yes | No | No | No |

IV | 100 M WATER RESISTANT | Yes | Yes | Yes | No |
V | 200 M WATER RESISTANT 300 M WATER RESISTANT |

Notes:
- I: The watch is not water-resistant.
- II: Do not pull out the crown while the watch is wet.
- III: Do not press buttons or pull out the crown while underwater.
- IV: Buttons can be pressed once underwater without repeated pressing, but the crown should not be pulled out. If the watch is exposed to saltwater, rinse it thoroughly and dry it.
- V: The watch can be used for scuba diving (except for depths requiring helium-oxygen gas mixtures). Do not pull out the crown while underwater.
Some water-resistant watches have leather bands. Do not wear these models while swimming or engaging in any activity that may immerse the band in water.
Caring for Your Watch
- Never attempt to open the case or remove the back cover.
- The gasket that protects the watch from water and dust should be replaced every 2-3 years.
- If moisture enters the watch, have it checked immediately by your nearest CASIO dealer or distributor.
- Avoid exposing the watch to extreme temperatures.
- While designed for normal use, avoid rough handling or dropping the watch.
- Do not fasten the band too tightly. You should be able to fit a finger between your wrist and the band.
- To clean the watch and band, use a dry, soft cloth or a soft cloth dampened with a mild neutral detergent solution. Never use volatile substances (e.g., gasoline, solvents, spray cleaners, etc.).
- When not in use, store your watch in a dry place.
- Avoid contact with gasoline, cleaning solvents, spray aerosols, adhesives, paint, etc. Chemical reactions from these materials can damage gaskets, cases, and finishes.
- Some models have silk-screened designs on the band. Be careful when cleaning these bands to avoid damaging the designs.
- For watches with plastic bands: You may notice a white powdery substance on the band. This substance is harmless to skin or clothing and can be easily removed by wiping with a cloth.
- For watches with fluorescent cases and bands: Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight may cause the fluorescent color to gradually fade.
