Installation Overview
This guide provides instructions for installing the INBAY wireless charging tray into compatible Volkswagen vehicles. Please ensure all steps are followed carefully for a safe and correct installation.

- Proper installation according to this guide is required.
- Ensure correct connections and route cables to prevent kinking, crimping, or damage. Keep cables away from moving parts and ensure they cannot be entangled or pinched.
- INBAY is not liable for damages caused by improper installation or utilization. Use only supplied mounting materials.
- Technical modifications are subject to change without prior notice.

Installation Steps
Step 1: Remove Gear Shift Console Trim
Carefully remove the trim surrounding the gear shift. This may involve gently prying it upwards.
Step 2: Access Center Console Screws
Locate and remove the screws securing the center console. The image indicates two TX20 screws.
Step 3: Disconnect and Remove Console Section
Carefully disconnect any electrical connectors attached to the console section being removed. Gently lift out the section.
Step 4: Connect INBAY Wiring
Connect the INBAY wiring harness. This involves connecting to the vehicle's OEM plug and optionally to the +12V socket.

Step 5: Install INBAY Unit
Place the INBAY unit into the prepared space in the center console. Ensure it fits securely.
Step 6: Reassemble Console
Reassemble the center console components, ensuring all connections are secure and no wires are pinched.
Step 7: Final Check
Verify that all parts are correctly installed and the wireless charging tray functions properly.
Note on +12V Socket:
The original +12V socket / cigarette lighter may be removed during installation. If a +12V power outlet is still required, the items listed below must be ordered separately:

Step 8: Connect to +12V Socket (Optional)
If the optional +12V socket is being installed, connect it using the provided INBAY cable connector.
Step 9: Place Manual in Glove Compartment
IMPORTANT: After installation, the manual must be placed in the customer's glove compartment.
Integrated Foreign Object Detection (FOD)
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
Do not place any other objects such as coins, credit cards, etc., on the INBAY surface. Smartphones with attached ring stands must not be used, as the integrated Foreign Object Detection (FOD) will interrupt wireless charging for safety reasons.
