About this Manual
Thank you for choosing the FOXXD™ MIRO™ smartphone. To keep your phone in its best condition, please read this manual and keep it for future reference.
1. About Your Phone
1.1 Overview
The phone features the following components:
- Headset Jack
- Earpiece
- Proximity & Light Sensor
- Front Camera lens
- Volume key
- Power key
- Touch Screen
- Rear Camera Lens
- Camera Flash/Flashlight
- Speaker
- Micro-USB/Charger port
- Back Home Menu buttons
1.2 Getting started
1.2.1 Setting up
Replacing the back cover: The diagrams show how to gently pry open the back cover.
Inserting the Nano SIM card: Insert the Nano SIM into the SIM compartment with the gold contacts facing down. Remove the SIM card by pushing the top of the SIM card from the opening and pulling it out.
Installing the microSD card: Install the microSD card with the gold contacts facing down. Remove the microSD card by pulling it out of the slot.
Charging the phone: Insert the micro USB end of the charging cable into the charging port of your phone. Plug the charger into a wall outlet or insert the regular end of the charging cable into any external USB port.
1.2.2 Powering on the phone
Press and hold the Power key for a few seconds to power on.
1.2.3 Powering off your phone
While the phone is on, press and hold the Power key until the pop-up menu appears, then select "Power off" to confirm.
1.3 Home screen
Organize applications, shortcuts, folders, and widgets on your Home screen for quick access.
Status bar: Touch and drag down to open the notification panel.
Search bar: Touch the text box to enter text search or touch the voice icon ? to enter voice search.
Application/Folder: Touch an icon to open an application or folder.
Favorite tray applications: Touch to open an application or touch and hold to move an application.
1.3.1 Status bar icons
The status bar displays notification icons, call status, Wi-Fi, and signal status.

Quick Setting panel and Notifications panel
Touch and swipe down from the Status bar to access the Quick Settings panel and Notification panel.
Quick Settings panel: Touch to extend the Quick Settings panel.
Notifications panel: Press to clear all displayed notifications.
1.3.2 Search bar
The phone's Home screen has a pre-installed Google search function bar. Enter text/phrases to search by text, or touch ? to search by voice.
1.3.3 Lock/Unlock screen
To protect your phone and privacy, you can create patterns, PINs, or Passwords. To create a screen unlock pattern, navigate to Settings > Security & location > Screen lock > Pattern, then draw your pattern.
To create a screen unlock PIN or Password, navigate to Settings > Security & location > Screen lock > PIN or Password, then set your PIN or Password.
To lock the screen, press the Power key once. To unlock, press the Power key once to light up the screen, then draw your unlock pattern or enter your PIN or Password.
Note: A camera icon ? is available at the bottom right corner for quick camera access without unlocking. Swiping left on it opens the camera app.
1.3.4 Personalize your Home screen
Add: Touch and hold an item (application, folder, or widget) to activate "Move" mode and drag it to any Home screen.
Reposition: Touch and hold an item to activate "Move" mode, then drag it to the desired position. You can move items between the Home screen and the Favorite tray by dragging them to the screen edge.
Remove: Touch and hold an item to activate "Move" mode and drag it to the remove icon ❌.
Create folders: Stack items on top of each other to create folders. Touch the folder's title bar to rename it.
Wallpaper customization: Navigate to Settings > Display > Wallpaper to change your wallpaper.
1.3.5 Volume adjustment
Adjust media, alarm, and ring volume preferences by pressing the Volume up/down keys or by navigating to Settings > Sound.
2. Text Input
2.1 Using on-screen keyboard
Access on-screen keyboard settings by navigating to Settings > System > Language & input > Virtual keyboard. Keyboard orientation can be changed if Auto-rotate is enabled.
2.2 Text editing
To edit text:
- Touch and hold or double-tap within the text.
- Drag the tabs to change the highlighted selection.
- Options shown include: CUT, COPY, PASTE, SHARE, SELECT ALL.
3. Making a Call
3.1 Wi-Fi Calling
Wi-Fi Calling allows calls and messages over a Wi-Fi connection. Look for the Wi-Fi Calling icon ? in the Status bar.
Important: An E911 address must be registered with your account. Register via the myMetro® Android™ app or by calling 611.
3.2 Placing a call
Place a call using the Call ? icon from the Application tab on the Home screen and select Call.
To make a regular phone call:
- Enter the number directly into the dial pad and touch ?, or tap a contact to place a call.
- To delete an incorrect digit, touch ❌.
- To hang up, touch ?.
International calling: Long press ➕ to enter "+", then enter the international country prefix and the full phone number, then tap ?.
Emergency calling: Dial the emergency number (911) and touch ?. This works without a SIM card or PIN/password.
3.3 Answering or rejecting a call
To receive an incoming call:
- Swipe the ? icon up to answer.
- Swipe the ? icon down to reject.
- Swipe the ? icon to the lower left corner icon to reject the call and send a text message.
To mute the ringtone volume, press the Volume up or down key.
3.4 Retrieving your call history
Access call history by tapping the call history icon from the call screen.
3.5 Accessibility
3.5.1 TTY (used in USA)
This phone supports TTY (Teletype) mode for use with teletype machines. Turn off Wi-Fi before use. To set up, navigate to Settings > Accessibility > TTY mode and select a mode: TTY Full, TTY HCO (Hearing Carry Over), or TTY VCO (Voice Carry Over).
Connect the TTY machine to the phone's 3.5mm jack and refer to the TTY machine's guide.
3.5.2 Hearing aids (used in USA)
This phone is M4/T3 compatible for hearing aids. To set up, navigate to Settings > Accessibility > Hearing aids.
3.5.3 RTT calling
To set up Real Time Text (RTT) calling, navigate to Settings > Accessibility > Real time text calling > RTT, then turn on the RTT Mode button. You can also set the RTT operation mode and RTT on an outgoing call.
4. Contacts
View, create, and synchronize contacts with your Gmail account or other applications.
4.1 Adding a contact
Touch the Contacts icon ➕ to create a new contact. Enter name and other information. Touch "More fields" for additional options. Touch "SAVE" ? when finished, or "Discard" ❌ to exit without saving.

4.2 Importing, exporting and sharing contacts
Import or export contacts between the phone and SIM card. From the Contacts screen, navigate to Settings > Import/Export to import from SIM or a .vcf file, or export to .vcf file or SIM card, or share all contacts.
4.3 Accounts
Synchronize data from multiple accounts (e.g., Google, Exchange). To add an account, go to Contacts > Settings > Accounts > "Add account", or Settings > Users & accounts > "Add account". To remove an account, touch it and select "Remove account".
Turn on/off sync & Auto-Sync: Navigate to Settings > Users & accounts.
Sync manually: Navigate to Settings > Users & accounts, select an account, touch "Account sync", then select "Sync".
5. Messaging
Use the Messaging app to create, edit, and receive SMS and MMS messages.
5.1 Write a message
Tap the ✉️ icon to write a new text/multimedia message.
Sending a text message: Enter the recipient's number in the "To" bar or select from FREQUENTS or ALL CONTACTS. Enter text in the message bar. Long press ? to insert emoticons. Tap ➡️ to send.
Sending a multimedia message: Attach media files (video, images, audio) via MMS. An SMS converts to MMS when media files are attached. Tap the ? icon to attach files. Tap ➡️ to send the multimedia message.
6. Getting Connected
Connect to the internet using 4G LTE/4G/3G/2G networks or Wi-Fi.
6.1 Connecting to the Internet
6.1.1 4G LTE/4G/3G/2G
The phone automatically configures network services upon SIM card insertion. Check connection status via Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile network > Advanced > Preferred network type. To add a new network connection, go to Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile network > Advanced > Access Point Names, enter APN information, and save.
To activate/deactivate data roaming: Navigate to Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile network and toggle "Roaming". Data roaming can be disabled while still using Wi-Fi.
6.1.2 Wi-Fi
Connect to the internet without a SIM card using Wi-Fi. Navigate to Settings > Network & Internet > Wi-Fi to turn Wi-Fi on/off. Select a detected Wi-Fi network and enter the password if required. Tap "CONNECT" to establish the connection.

6.2 Chrome
Surf the web via Chrome. Access it from the Home screen, then touch the Chrome icon. Enter web addresses in the URL box.
7. Factory Reset
To perform a factory reset, navigate to Settings > System > Reset option > Erase all data (factory reset), then tap RESETPHONE. This erases personal data but not system software updates. You will need to re-enter setup information.
8. Safety and Use
SAR (specific absorption rate)
SAR measures cell phone radiation absorption. The FCC limit for public exposure is 1.6 W/kg. For body-worn operation, maintain a distance of 0.39 inches (10 mm) from the body. This phone has a Body SAR of 1.39 W/kg and Head SAR of 0.77 W/kg.
FCC RF exposure and RF signal
This phone complies with FCC guidelines for human exposure to radio frequency energy. It has been tested and found to comply with Class B digital device limits, designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in residential installations. If interference occurs, try reorienting the antenna, increasing separation, using a different outlet, or consulting a dealer/technician.
Body-worn operation
For FCC RF exposure compliance, use belt-clips or holsters that maintain a 0.39-inch separation between the body and the phone. Avoid accessories with metallic components.
FCC hearing-aid compatibility (HAC)
This phone is rated M4/T3 for hearing aid compatibility. M-Ratings (M3/M4) indicate less interference; M4 is better. T-Ratings (T3/T4) indicate better usability with hearing devices; T4 is better. Consult your hearing health professional for personalized evaluation.
Hearing care
Prolonged exposure to loud sounds can cause hearing loss. Use safe listening volumes. If you experience ringing or muffled speech, discontinue use and consult a doctor.
Antenna care
Use only the supplied antenna. Unauthorized modifications may violate FCC regulations or damage the phone.
Driving
Using the phone while driving is dangerous and illegal in some areas. Obey local laws and regulations.
Pacemakers
Maintain a minimum separation of six (6) inches between the phone and a pacemaker. Avoid carrying the phone in a breast pocket. If interference is suspected, turn off the phone immediately.
Hearing aids
Some digital phones may interfere with hearing aids. Consult your service provider if interference occurs.
Medical devices
Consult your medical device manufacturer regarding RF shielding. Turn off the phone in healthcare facilities where sensitive equipment is in use.
Vehicles
Ensure vehicle electronic systems are properly installed and shielded. Consult vehicle and equipment manufacturers.
Posted facilities, Aircraft, Blasting areas, Potentially explosive atmospheres
Turn off the phone in areas with posted notices, on aircraft, in blasting areas, or in potentially explosive atmospheres to prevent interference or hazards.
Battery care
Do not disassemble, puncture, or expose the battery to extreme conditions (water, fire, explosion). Use only the specified charging system and qualified batteries. Dispose of used batteries according to local regulations. Supervise children's battery usage.

Protection against theft
Your phone's IMEI (serial number) identifies it. Note your IMEI by dialing *#06# and keep it safe. It may be needed if your phone is stolen.

Service
Activating service: You will need your name, address, an eight-digit PIN, your IMEI/SIM card number, and your chosen Metro plan. Activate by dialing 1.888.8metro8 (1.888.863.8768) or visiting metropcs.com. Charge the battery fully after activation.
Account detail: View Text Message Reminders, E-statements, and Call Details.
Payment options: Auto Pay, Express Pay (metropcs.com), By Mail, By Phone (1.888.8metro8), Store Payment Machine, Over the Counter, eWallet, and Text to Pay.
