2. Add for Inclusion
This section details the process of adding a Z-Wave device using the LifeSmart mobile application. The app interface shows options to Add, Remove, and Learn devices. The process involves entering or scanning the DSK (Device Specific Key), which contains the HomeID and other identifiers. The app guides the user through selecting security levels, such as S2 Class 2 Access Control, and confirming the addition. A "Waiting..." indicator is shown during the process, followed by a confirmation of successful addition.
3. Remove for Exclusion
Upon successful addition, a "Congratulations!" message is displayed, allowing the user to name the new device. The section also covers the process of removing a device for exclusion. This involves navigating to the device list, selecting the specific device (e.g., "Door Lock Keypad"), and tapping the "Remove" option.
4. Copy for Replication
To replicate a device, perform the 'Add for inclusion' operation as described in part 2. Ensure the other gateway device has entered 'Learn mode' before proceeding.
5. Learn Mode
This section describes how to put the gateway into 'Learn mode' to allow other devices to be added to the network.
6. Factory Default Reset
Resetting the gateway can have consequences depending on its role. If it's the primary controller, resetting it will orphan network nodes, requiring re-inclusion. If it's a secondary controller, reset it only if the primary controller is unavailable.
7. Including Device into Existing Network
To include a device into an existing network, conduct the 'Learn' operation as mentioned in part 5. Ensure the other gateway device has entered 'Add' Mode.
8. Basic Command Class Handling
The Smart Station will ignore Basic Commands received from other devices on the Z-Wave network.
9. Devices from Multiple Manufacturers in One Network
The Smart Station supports Z-Wave networks with products from different manufacturers and categories, allowing for interoperability.
10. Association CC
Group ID: 1 - Lifeline
Maximum number of devices that can be added to the group: 5
All devices are associated with the group.
The app interface allows managing device associations. Users can select devices to add to specific groups, view device information including manufacturer ID, product type, generic and specific command classes, status, security level (S2), and RSSI. It also shows the process of selecting a device within a group.
11. Sending Controlled Commands
Commands are communicated using ACK, NAK, CAN, and Data frames to interact with the Z-Wave module. In the 'Device Detailed Information' page, users can select specific command classes like 'COMMAND_CLASS_DOOR_LOCK'. The app provides options for advanced control, such as setting 'Locked' status and inputting values. It also details command class parameters like 'Locked', 'Timeout Mode', and 'Outside Handle Control'.
12. BASIC Commands Possible Values and Behaviors
When 'Non-Secure' is chosen during device addition, BASIC command control is enabled. The value '0' typically indicates closing a door, while '255' indicates opening a door.
13. S2 Security CC
The Smart Station is a Security Enabled Z-Wave Plus Product, supporting both Security S2 and Security S0 protocols.
