Installation and Connection
WILD-14 Receiver Installation
- Ensure the 4-position selector switch (OFF-1-2-3) on the WILD-14 unit is set to OFF.
- Insert the speaker into the lighting rail as shown in the diagram.
- Turn the safety tab to secure the speaker to the rail. Turn the selector switch to a position other than OFF that corresponds to a circuit in the rail providing AC mains voltage to the unit. The safety tab will lock.
- Verify the unit is powered on by observing the LED indicator on the rear. The LED will be solid or blinking depending on the unit's status. If the Status LED is OFF, check the lighting rail for AC power and ensure the selector switch is in the correct position.
- Adjust the speaker for the desired vertical and horizontal position.
- For surface mounting without a lighting rail, use the optional TUBE SMA accessory. Mount the accessory first and connect it to AC power, then follow the previous steps to install the WILD-14 unit.
WILD-14 Receiver Removal
- Before removing the WILD-14 receiver, ensure the 4-position selector switch (OFF-1-2-3) is set to OFF.
- Follow the diagrams to safely detach the unit from the lighting rail.
WILD-SB18 Subwoofer Installation
- Horizontal Floor Mounting: The WILD-SB18 comes with pre-mounted feet for floor placement.
- Wall Mounting: Use the included wall mounting bracket. Attach the 4 wall plugs and screws to the wall as per the diagram. Secure the 2 wall brackets to the device using the 12 included screws. Hang the device on the wall by engaging the mounted brackets with the screws on the wall.
WILD-TX Transmitter Installation
- Antenna Installation: Attach the 3 included antennas to the WILD-TX unit.
- Half-Rack Adapter Installation: The WILD-TX includes a front half-rack adapter for installation in a standard 19" rack. Remove the two screws on the side of the unit, attach the adapter using these screws.
- Eyelet Mounting: The WILD-TX includes 2 eyelets for mounting. Remove two screws on each side of the unit and use these screws to attach the eyelets.
- Location: Choose a location for the WILD-TX unit that optimizes the system's performance. The recommended maximum installation height is 2m. Consider the maximum RF operating range of 150m (line of sight) between the transmitter and receivers. For maximum coverage, ideally place the transmitter centrally within the receiver network.
- Powering the WILD-TX: Connect the transmitter to up to 2 audio inputs (Input 1: Stereo unbalanced 2xRCA; Input 2: Bluetooth®). Connect the external power supply to the DC IN port to power on the unit and start the WiLD setup process.
- Note: The device generates heat; avoid enclosing it or exposing it to extreme temperatures.
Pairing and Commissioning
When the WILD-TX transmitter is first powered on (or after a factory reset), the status LED will blink slowly, indicating it is ready to be paired with WILD-14 or WILD-SB18 receivers.
Pairing Process:
- Press the WILD PAIR button on the rear of the WILD-TX transmitter.
- The recognition process (searching for available receivers) begins. The status LED will blink slowly. Once receivers are paired, press the WILD PAIR button again to exit pairing mode.
- Press the WILD PAIR button on the rear of the receiver units (WILD-14 and/or WILD-SB18).
- The recognition process (searching for available transmitters) begins. The status LED will blink slowly.
- Once pairing is complete and network connections are stable, the status LED will remain solid, indicating a successful pairing and a stable WiLD network.
System Ready:
- Select the audio source using the input switch.
- Adjust the master volume using the VOLUME knob.
- Adjust equalizer settings using the TONE CONTROL knobs.
Bluetooth® Audio Input: Requires standard Bluetooth® pairing with the audio source (smartphone, tablet, computer, etc.). Refer to the Bluetooth® Pairing Procedure section for details.
WiLD Pairing Procedure Notes:
- The WiLD pairing procedure must be performed at least once to set up a WiLD system.
- It is possible to re-pair devices as needed (e.g., adding new receivers, removing existing ones).
- The pairing process is expandable: If new receivers are added, the system will scan for them. The internal list will be updated.
- It is recommended to perform pairing with receivers close to the transmitter.
Bluetooth® Pairing Procedure
Perform the following steps to pair a Bluetooth® device:
- Briefly press the BT pair button on the front of the WILD-TX unit.
- On your smartphone or PC, search for the device named "Wild-Tx XXXX" (where XXXX is a combination of letters and numbers).
- Select the WILD-TX device in your Bluetooth configuration and accept the request.
- The WILD-TX unit is now paired with your Bluetooth device and ready for audio transmission.
- Only one device can be paired at a time. To pair another device, press the "BT pair" button again.
- To reset the Bluetooth connection, press and hold the "BT pair" button for more than 5 seconds.
