Important Battery Information
For optimal battery performance and longevity, charge the unit for 16 hours before first use. Recharge approximately every three months. Full battery autonomy is achieved after three complete recharge cycles.
Charging the Clipper
- Plug the cord into the unit and connect the adaptor. Charge for 16 hours before the first use. Ensure the clipper's switch is in the OFF position.
- Verify that the charging indicator light is illuminated.
- A full charge provides up to 40 minutes of use.
- Subsequent charges take 90 minutes due to the quick charge system.
Mains Use
Connect the transformer into the mains, wait for 1 minute, and then switch the clipper to the ON position. Important: Use only the adaptor provided with the clipper.
Using the Cutting Guides
This clipper comes with 9 comb guides. Always attach a comb guide before switching on the clipper, and switch the clipper OFF before changing guides.
Attaching a guide: Position the comb guide over the clipper blade. Slide it over the head and push the rear of the comb guide into position until it clicks. (See Figure 1 description below).
Removing a guide: Push the tab on the rear of the comb guide away from the clipper head and lift the guide off. (See Figure 2 description below).

Taper Control
The taper control lever allows for fine adjustment of the cutting length, offering 5 distinct levels:
- To increase the cutting length, push the lever down.
- To reduce the cutting length, push the lever up.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance of the clipper blades ensures optimal performance and longevity.
- After use, remove the comb guide. Rinse it under running water and dry it thoroughly before storing.
- Carefully clean the blades using the provided cleaning brush and cleaning hook to remove any residual hair.
- Turn the clipper ON and carefully apply a few drops of BaByliss lubricating oil onto the blades. Wait a few seconds, then switch the clipper OFF. Wipe away any excess oil with a dry cloth.
Note: Use only the lubricating oil supplied by BaByliss, as it is specifically formulated for this appliance, does not evaporate, and will not slow down the blades.
