Charging the Case
Connect the JLab JBuds Air charging case to a computer or USB power adapter with a standard 5V 1A (or less) output. The white indicator lights on the case will blink while charging and turn solid white when charging is complete.
Fit and Comfort
Experiment with the included ear tips and earbud shapes to find the best fit and most secure seal for optimal comfort and sound quality. Ensure the ear tip creates a good seal around the ear canal.
Troubleshooting & Solutions
Bluetooth Device Not Connecting / Reconnecting
- On your device, go to Bluetooth settings and "forget" or "unpair" the JBuds Air.
- Turn off Bluetooth on your device, then turn it back on.
- Remove both earbuds from the charging case.
- Wait for the earbuds to automatically pair with each other (left earbud solid white, right earbud flashing blue/white).
- Select "JLab JBuds Air" from your device's Bluetooth settings to reconnect.
Intermittent Left Earbud Audio or Disconnects (Manual Reset)
If you experience issues with the left earbud losing audio or disconnecting, perform a manual reset:
- Forget the "JLab JBuds Air" from your device's Bluetooth settings.
- Turn off Bluetooth on your device.
- Place both earbuds back into the charging case.
- Reset Left Earbud: With one earbud in the case, press the button on that earbud 4 times quickly. The indicator light will flash blue 4 times, then turn solid blue.
- Reset Right Earbud: Repeat the process for the other earbud (press button 4 times quickly; indicator light flashes blue 4 times, then turns solid blue).
- Remove both earbuds from the charging case, keeping them about 2 inches apart. Wait for the left earbud to turn solid white and the right earbud to flash blue/white.
- Select "JLab JBuds Air" from your device's Bluetooth settings to reconnect.
Microphone Echo or Poor Call Quality
If you experience microphone echo or poor call quality, ensure that the ear tip is not blocking the microphone port on the earbud.
Warnings and Quick Tips
Important Warnings
- Completely dry the earbuds before placing them in the charging case to prevent damage to the case.
- The earbuds are sweat and water-resistant, but the charging case is not.
Quick Tips for Best Performance
- Bluetooth connection originates from the right earbud. For the most stable connection, keep your device on your right side or in your right pocket.
- If you prefer to use only one earbud, use the right earbud, as it is the primary Bluetooth-connected earbud.
- Choosing the correct ear tip size is crucial for optimal sound quality and a secure fit. Experiment with all provided ear tips to find the best match.
- Only one Bluetooth device can be connected at a time. Ensure Bluetooth is turned off on any devices you do not wish to connect to before pairing with your desired device.
Care and Safety
- Avoid exposing the earbuds or charging port to any moisture or liquids.
- Do not expose the earbuds to extreme heat, cold, or humidity.
- Avoid dropping, crushing, or excessively straining the earbud wires.
- Earwax buildup on ear tips can reduce sound quality. Carefully clean ear tips with a cotton swab or other suitable tools.
- If you experience any discomfort or pain, try lowering the volume or taking a break from using the earbuds.
- If pain persists, discontinue use and consult a medical professional.
- Treat your earbuds with care, similar to how you would handle eyeglasses. Store them in a safe place when not in use.
