Common Problems
Failure to pair Wi-Fi devices with the eWeLink app
- Ensure the device is in pairing mode. It exits automatically after 3 minutes of unsuccessful pairing.
- Enable location services and grant location permission in your phone's settings. This is necessary to scan for Wi-Fi networks.
- Verify your Wi-Fi network is operating on the 2.4 GHz band.
- Ensure you have entered the correct Wi-Fi SSID and password, avoiding special characters. Incorrect credentials are a common cause of pairing failure.
- Position the device closer to the router for a stable signal during pairing.
Wi-Fi devices are offline
Check the Wi-Fi LED indicator status:
- LED flashes once every 2 seconds: Cannot connect to the router.
- Re-check Wi-Fi credentials.
- Ensure Wi-Fi SSID/password do not contain special characters (e.g., Hebrew, Arabic) that the system may not recognize.
- Your router may have a low load capacity or too many connected devices.
- The Wi-Fi signal may be weak due to distance or obstacles.
- LED flashes twice: Failed to connect to the server.
- Verify your internet connection is stable.
- Your router may be overloaded. Check the maximum number of connected devices and reduce if necessary, or consider a more powerful router.
If issues persist, submit a report via the help&feedback section in the eWeLink app.
