The EUT was tested with channels 1 (2402 MHz), 39 (2440 MHz), and 79 (2480 MHz).

Summary of Test Results

FCC RulesDescription of TestResult
§15.203Antenna RequirementCompliant
§15.207(a)Conduction EmissionsNot Applicable
§15.205, §15.209, §15.249Radiated Emissions & Out of Band EmissionCompliant
§15.215 (c)20 dB BandwidthCompliant

Note: The EUT is a battery-operated device.

FCC§15.203 - Antenna Requirement

The EUT has a PCB antenna with an antenna gain of 0 dBi, which is permanently attached, fulfilling the requirement.

Result: Compliant.

FCC§15.205, §15.209&§15.249 - Radiated Emissions & Out of Band Emission

The field strength of emissions from intentional radiators operated within the specified frequency bands comply with the following limits:

Fundamental frequencyField strength of fundamental (millivolts/meter)Field strength of harmonics (microvolts/meter)
902-928 MHz50500
2400-2483.5 MHz50500
5725-5875 MHz50500
24.0-24.25 GHz2502500

Emissions radiated outside of the specified frequency bands, except for harmonics, shall be attenuated by at least 50 dB below the level of the fundamental or to the general radiated emission limits in §15.209, whichever is the lesser attenuation.

EUT Setup (Below 1 GHz): A diagram shows the EUT on a non-conductive table 80cm above the ground plane, with a turntable of 2m diameter, and an antenna tower at 1.5 meters distance.

EUT Setup (Above 1 GHz): A diagram shows the EUT on a non-conductive table 150cm above the ground plane, with a turntable of 2m diameter, and an antenna tower at 1.5 meters distance.

The radiated emission and out-of-band emission tests were performed in a 3-meter chamber test site, in accordance with ANSI C63.10-2013, FCC 15.209/15.205, and FCC 15.249 limits.

Test Equipment Setup:

Above 1GHz1MHz3 MHz/PK
Above 1GHz1MHz3 MHz/Ave

Test Procedure: Maximizing procedure was performed on the highest emissions to ensure EUT compliance. Data was recorded in Quasi-peak detection mode (30MHz-1GHz) and Peak/Average detection mode (above 1 GHz).

Corrected Amplitude & Margin Calculation: Corrected Amplitude = Meter Reading + Antenna Factor + Cable Loss - Amplifier Gain. Margin = Limit – Corrected Amplitude.

Test Results Summary: The EUT complied with FCC Part 15.209 &15.205 & 15.249.

Test Data:

Environmental Conditions: Temperature: 24.6°C, Relative Humidity: 52%, ATM Pressure: 101.2 kPa.

Test Mode: Transmitting (Scan with X-Axis, Y-Axis and Z-Axis position, the worst case X-Axis was recorded).

Spurious Emission Test (30MHz-1GHz): A graph shows emission levels across frequencies. A table lists specific measurements including frequency, corrected amplitude, antenna height, polarization, turntable degree, corrected factor, limit, and margin.

Spurious Emission Test (1GHz-18GHz): A graph shows emission levels across frequencies for the Low Channel (2402MHz). A table lists specific measurements including frequency, corrected amplitude (MaxPeak/Average), antenna height, polarization, turntable degree, corrected factor, limit, and margin.

Spurious Emission Test (1GHz-18GHz) - Middle Channel (2440MHz): A graph shows emission levels across frequencies. A table lists specific measurements.

Spurious Emission Test (1GHz-18GHz) - High Channel (2480MHz): A graph shows emission levels across frequencies. A table lists specific measurements.

Spurious Emission Test (18GHz-25GHz): Graphs show horizontal and vertical emissions. Marker data indicates peak values and frequencies.

FCC §15.215(c) – 20 dB Bandwidth Testing

Applicable Standard: Intentional radiators must ensure that the 20 dB bandwidth of the emission is contained within the designated frequency band.

Test Procedure:

  1. Check instrument calibration.
  2. Position EUT, turn on, and set to a convenient frequency. Set a reference level on the measuring instrument.
  3. Measure the frequency difference of two frequencies attenuated 20 dB from the reference level.
  4. Repeat for all necessary frequencies.

Test Data:

  • Environmental Conditions: Temperature: 24.2°C, Relative Humidity: 50%, ATM Pressure: 101.3kPa.
  • Test Result: Compliant.

Test Mode: Transmitting
