ALLPOWERS AP-SP-039 600W Foldable Solar Panel
User Manual
Introduction
This is a foldable solar panel designed for charging portable solar generators. It features efficient solar cells that belong to physical batteries, making them recyclable. Unlike chemical batteries with limited cycle life, these cells can retain over 80% of their power even after 5 years due to the lamination of the battery material itself.

How it works
Placement for Optimal Sunlight
Place your solar panel in an area where it can receive the most sunlight. Adjust the angle to the sun for the best charging effect.
- All solar panels must be exposed to direct sunlight. Avoid any possible shelters like buildings and trees.
- Angle solar panels at 30-60 degrees, making them perpendicular to the sun for the best charging effect.
- If panels must adhere to another surface, ensure it is not damp or irregular, as this may cause distortion after prolonged sunlight exposure.
- Choose sunny hours (e.g., 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM). Panels operate at peak efficiency when the sun is most direct, typically around midday (12:00 PM - 1:00 PM).
- In natural environments, it is normal to achieve 420-500W due to variations in angle and sunlight intensity.

Connecting to a Solar Generator
Solar panels generate electricity when exposed to sunlight. Before plugging in a device, protect the panels.
Plug the charging cable into your device's input port. Connect the other end of the cable to the solar panel's output, then unfold the solar panel to charge.
Look for a charging indicator on your device (e.g., laptop). If no indicator appears, re-establish the connection or try a different charging cable.
Once a charging sign is displayed, you can place your device in a cool place for better heat dissipation and turn it off to save energy, especially for laptops.

How to chain multiple solar modules together
These panels are designed for charging 12V/24V lead-acid batteries, including lithium batteries, and other equipment. It is recommended to use a solar regulator to prevent overcharging the battery system.
You can connect multiple panels using MC4 Y connectors to achieve different outputs. Voltages are additive when panels are connected in series, and currents are additive when connected in parallel.
- Only connect solar panels with similar electrical output in the same string to avoid mismatch effects.
- Series connection (+ to -, to +): Voltage is added, power is added, and current remains unchanged.
- Parallel connection (+ to +, - to -): Voltage does not change, power is added, and current increases.
Caution: Excessive solar input voltage can damage portable power stations. Always check the power station's solar input voltage parameters and connect panels within the specified range.

MC4 Connectors
- Keep connectors dry and clean. Ensure connector caps are hand-tight before connecting the panel.
- Do not attempt electrical connections with wet, soiled, or faulty connectors.
- To preserve service life, avoid sunlight exposure and water immersion of connectors. Do not rest connectors on the ground or roof surface.
- Faulty connections can result in electrical shock. Check all electrical connections every 6 months to ensure all locking connectors are fully fastened and locked.
Warm Tips
- Do not attempt to modify the PCB circuit inside the back junction box unless you are a professional technician. ALLPOWERS is not responsible for any damage caused by unauthorized modifications.
- Quality Assurance: 3 years material and workmanship guarantee. Output power is guaranteed to be 80% within 5 years and 50% within 10 years. A loss of 3% of component power may occur during installation.
- The solar panel charger has a built-in anti-flow preventer to prevent backflow phenomenon.
- Do not step, stand, or jump on the surface of the solar panel. Heavy or sharp objects can scratch the panel, causing small cracks that affect output power or potentially cause injury.
- If the solar panel is broken, stop using it and contact professional maintenance personnel or the manufacturer's after-sales service.
- The solar panel has a waterproof rating of IP66, making it rainproof and capable of short-term immersion in water. Do not immerse it in water for extended periods. If short-circuited due to water immersion, stop use and contact the seller.
Maintenance
- This product is primarily for emergency charging. Long-term outdoor exposure is not recommended as it may shorten the product's lifespan.
- The panel is not bendable. Handle with care, avoid hitting with sharp objects or knocking heavily.
- If panels must be placed on another surface, ensure the surface is flat and dry to prevent distortion after prolonged sun exposure.
- It is normal for solar panels to get hotter during operation. Store them in the box after they have cooled down.
- Dirt and dust accumulation over time can decrease power output. Periodic cleaning with a mild, non-abrasive cleaning agent is recommended.
- Charging devices in enclosed vehicles during hot summer days is not advised, as dashboard temperatures can reach 65-70°C.
- The IP66 waterproof rating prevents dust ingress and protects against water spray from any direction, but prolonged immersion is prohibited.
Disposal Guide
If circumstances permit, ensure the product is disposed of in a designated recycling bin. Please follow local laws for more details.
