Getting Started with the Mi Home App
Download the App
To get started, search for "Mi Home" in your app store. After connecting your gateway, follow the "Add Device" instructions to add the door and window sensor. This product integrates with Mi Home, supports MIUI system lock screen control, and enables interoperability with other Mi Home smart products. Add the Device
Power on the gateway. Open the Mi Home app, select the gateway you wish to connect to, and navigate to the device page. Click "Add Sub-device" and follow the on-screen prompts until the gateway announces "Connection successful." If pairing fails, move the sensor closer to the gateway and try again.
Installation Method
Distance Verification
After successful device addition, press the reset button ⚙️ on the sensor in its installed position. The gateway will emit a prompt sound, confirming effective communication between the sensor and the gateway.
Installation Steps
- Peel off the adhesive backing.
- Align the sensor body and magnet using the side markings (refer to Figure 2).
- Attach them to the desired opening and closing areas. It is recommended to mount the sensor body on the fixed surface and the magnet on the movable surface. Ensure the installation gap is less than 22mm when the door/window is closed.
Important Notes
- Ensure the mounting surface is clean and dry before application.
- Avoid dropping the sensor during installation, as it can be easily damaged.

- 7 Days Return/Exchange: Within seven days of receipt, if the product exhibits performance faults listed in the "Mi Home Door and Window Sensor Performance Fault Table" and confirmed by Xiaomi's after-sales service center, you are entitled to a free return or exchange.
- 8-15 Days Exchange/Repair: Within 8 to 15 days of receipt, if the product exhibits performance faults listed in the table and confirmed by the service center, you are entitled to a free exchange or repair.
- 12 Months Repair: Within 12 months of receipt, if the product exhibits performance faults listed in the table and confirmed by the service center, you are entitled to free repair services.
Non-Warranty Conditions
