The Mi Smart Home Kit is a multifunctional gateway designed to simplify your home automation. It includes a motion sensor, sensors for windows/doors, and a main hub, all of which are easy to install and manage. With the Mi Smart Home Kit, you can utilize functions such as a night light, smart notifications, and a wireless doorbell, and integrate them with other smart devices.
* This device is intended for indoor use only.
* The entire Mi Smart Home Kit set is pre-connected to the gateway upon factory release, allowing immediate use after device installation.
Quick Setup
To begin, download the "Mi Smart House" application from the Mi store or scan the relevant QR code (QR codes are excluded from this document).
Connecting and Managing Your Devices
Connecting the New Device
First, connect the multifunctional gateway to a power supply. Simultaneously, ensure your smartphone is connected to a Wi-Fi network. Open the Mi Smart Home app, select the option for fast connection of new devices, or tap the '+' icon in the upper right corner to add the Mi Smart Home Kit to your device list.
* For optimal connection, place the multifunctional gateway away from the wireless router, ideally within a 2-meter distance.
Sharing Devices
To allow other users to access and control the device simultaneously, navigate to the main page of the Mi Smart Home Kit app, press the [options button], and connect with other family members.

The Mi multifunction gateway serves as the control center, featuring a built-in Smart Module. This allows each connected sensor to communicate with other smart devices.
Device Components
Motion Sensor
An infrared motion sensor used to detect the movement of people or animals indoors. It offers low power consumption, easy installation without tools, and flexible placement anywhere.
Components include an induction lens (status indicators) and a reset (binding device / delete) button.
Sensor for Windows / Doors
This sensor consists of a main sensor and a magnet. They are installed close to each other to detect the initial position of windows or doors. It provides low power consumption and easy installation without tools, ready for immediate use.
The Main Hub
The main hub is a new type of remote control device with low power consumption. Its compact design allows placement anywhere, and it's easy to install without tools. It enables immediate control over the operation of lamps, sockets, and other smart devices.
Components include LED Status Reset (binding device / delete) and a Hub Button.
Logging In and Using the App
After quick installation and successful connection to the Mi Smart Home Kit, users can enjoy various features:
1: Night Light
Install the motion sensor near your bed. Use your smartphone to set the desired color for ambient lighting.
2: Notifications
Install the window/door sensor or motion sensor in the desired area. In the "Smart House" app, select the necessary functions. Activating [Safe Mode] provides home protection. If a window or door is opened, or someone enters the house, the main hub will emit a sound, and you will receive a notification on your smartphone.
3: Doorbell
Place the main hub on a non-metallic surface. A click on the main hub button will trigger the multifunctional gateway to beep like a doorbell. The doorbell sound and volume can be adjusted within the Smart House app.
4: Controlling Other Devices
Within the Smart House app, configure house management settings. After successful setup, you can operate hub devices with a single click, offering enhanced convenience.

- The Mi Smart Home Kit is designed to enhance your home living conditions and is not a security measure. It does not fall under the product categories for security as per China's compulsory certification (3C) regulations.
- The Mi Smart Home Kit is intended to inform about the status of devices and not for specialized home security, buildings, warehouses, or business premises. The company is not responsible if users misuse the device as a special security facility.
Installation Guide
To ensure effective device operation, select a suitable installation site. Resetting factory settings using a special needle will help the multi-function gateway emit a sound, confirming the optimal distance between the sensor and the gateway has been chosen.
Motion Sensor
Method 1: You can simply place the sensor in the desired location without needing to stick it to a wall or other surface.
Method 2: Remove the protective cover (provided with adhesive membrane) and stick the sensor to the back of any surface or wall.
Optimal Height: The sensor should be installed between 1.2 to 2.1 meters high. At less than 1.2 meters, the detection range may be smaller. Above 2.1 meters, blind spots can occur, potentially hindering the detection of people or animals.
During installation, pay close attention to the induction lens, ensuring it is directed towards the area you wish to monitor. Install or stick the sensor as close as possible to the edge of a table or cabinet.

Sensor for Windows / Doors
Remove the protective membrane.
During installation, try to balance the placement of the primary sensor and the magnet, aligning them at a special mark.
Attach the device to the desired surface. It is recommended to install the primary sensor on an immovable surface and the magnet on the surface that is expected to move (e.g., a door or window). The allowable distance between the main sensor and magnet is 22mm.
The Main Hub
Remove the protective membrane.
Attach the unit to the desired surface, preferably on a dry surface.
Place the hub on a main non-metallic surface, as this can affect its performance.

Adding New Devices
To add a new device or restore factory settings, you can use one of two methods:
- Method 1: Open the smart home app. On the main page of the multifunction gateway, click [add device] and follow the on-screen instructions to perform a factory reset.
- Method 2: Continuously press the button on the multifunction gateway three times, then follow the on-screen instructions to perform a factory reset.
* When connecting smart devices that lack a reset hole, consult their specific instructions.
* When connecting a device to a different gateway, you must first reset the device and then add it anew by following the described scheme.
Reset Procedure
Press the reset hole with a special [reset tool] and hold it for 3 seconds. The device status indicator will blink three times, signaling a successful reset.

Warranty and Returns
Warranty service is provided in accordance with China's "Law on the Rights of Consumers" and "Law of the PRC on the Quality of Products." The warranty service includes repair, exchange, or return of items during the warranty period, provided a receipt is presented.
Type of Service Terms
Baseless Returns
- Baseless returns are accepted only in official shops within 7 days after purchase (after signing the guarantee).
- Return of goods is only possible with its original packaging.
Refund of Purchase (Product Quality)
- In case of a problem, you can return the product within 7 days after signing the guarantee.
- Return of goods is only possible with its original packaging.
Purchase Exchange (Product Quality)
In case of a problem, goods can be replaced within 15 days after signing the guarantee.
Warranty Repair (Product Quality)
In the event of problems, free warranty repair is available for the goods within 1 year after signing the guarantee.
Circumstances Not Covered by Warranty
Compensation is not possible under the following circumstances (including, but not limited to):
- End of maintenance period, damage from falling, neglect, abuse, liquid ingress, accidents, broken or removed labels/markings.
- Expiration of the warranty period.
- Damage caused by force majeure, such as lightning, fire, or flood.
- Damage that does not meet the "fault list" criteria of the Xiaomi service center.
- Failures arising from human factors that interfere with the normal operation of the device.

Presence of Toxic and Hazardous Substances
There are no elements of Pb, Hg, Cd, Cr6+, P, BB, PBDE in the product, or their presence is lower than the limit value according to SJ/T 11363-2006 requirements.
