Charging and Battery Installation

Charging FOLLOW ME BEE's Battery

Inserting Batteries in the Remote Control

To insert the controller batteries, open the battery cover on the back of the remote control and insert 2 x AAA alkaline batteries, ensuring that you observe the polarity markings (batteries are not included and must be purchased separately).

⚠️ Battery Installation Notes:

  1. When installing the batteries, ensure that you match the + and - ends of the battery with the + and - signs in the controller.
  2. Do not mix old and new batteries.
  3. Do not mix different types of batteries.

Flight Preparation and Taking Flight

Pairing the Remote Control with FOLLOW ME BEE

Taking Off/Landing

⚠️ If the FOLLOW ME BEE's altitude becomes too high or too low due to air pressure changes, it should be landed and then take off again.

Follow Me Function

Diagram Description: A sequence of illustrations shows the FOLLOW ME BEE drone flying and then following the remote control as it is moved. The drone stops following when it is within approximately 1 meter of the user.

If FOLLOW ME BEE doesn't detect the remote control signal, FOLLOW ME BEE will rotate in place until it "sees" the remote control. Make sure to point the remote control towards FOLLOW ME BEE during use!

⚠️ During the "follow me" function, the BEE will stop following the remote control when the BEE is within approximately 1 meter distance. This is to avoid colliding with the user.

Safety Functions

Flip Maneuver

When FOLLOW ME BEE is in a hovering state, press the function button on the remote control twice consecutively. After hearing two "beep" sounds, the aircraft will perform a backward flip.

Undervoltage Protection

Icon Description: An icon depicting a battery with a warning symbol inside indicates low battery status.

A flashing red indicator light on the base of the BEE indicates that the battery level is low. When this occurs, land the BEE and charge the battery.

Overcurrent Protection

Icon Description: An icon showing a propeller entangled with an object indicates the overcurrent protection mechanism.

If the BEE's blades collide with another object or become stuck, the BEE's circuit will engage the overcurrent protection mechanism.

Troubleshooting

Problem Reason Solution
The drone has no response 1. The drone has entered into low-voltage protection.
2. When the power of the remote control is weak, the power light indicator will blink.
1. Charge up the drone.
2. Change the batteries in the remote control.
The flight response of the drone is not sensitive 1. The BEE is not detecting the remote control signal.

3. There is an interference with the same frequency as that of the remote control.
1. Make sure to point the top of the remote control directly at the BEE when in flight.
2. Change the batteries in the remote control.
3. Change to a place where there is no interference with the same frequency.
