OBDLink SX Quick Start Guide

1 Install OBDwiz software

Point your browser to obdlink.com/software.

Download "OBDwiz for Windows". Run the installer to setup the software.

2 Connect SX to the PC

The LED will turn yellow when you connect SX to the PC's USB port.

Troubleshooting: If the LED is red, drivers may not be installed properly. For Windows XP or Vista, download drivers at obdlink.com/support/sxusb.

3 Plug SX into the OBD port

The OBD port is typically located on the driver's side, under the dashboard.

If you cannot locate your OBD port, visit obdport.info.

4 Turn Ignition to "Key On, Engine Off"

The LED will turn green.

For vehicles with push-button start, press the start button without pressing the brake pedal.

Troubleshooting: If the LED is yellow, check the OBD port, auxiliary port, and cigarette lighter for blown fuses.

5 Launch OBDwiz software

Navigate to Start > Programs > OBDwiz > OBDwiz. Enter your license key when prompted.

Your license key is provided on an insert included with your purchase.

6 Connect to your vehicle

Click the 'Connect' button within the OBDwiz software.

For Windows XP or Vista users, click 'Auto Detect' first.
