[Electrical Hazard Symbol] This symbol alerts the user to the presence of uninsulated "dangerous voltage" within the product's enclosure that may be of sufficient magnitude to constitute a risk of electric shock.
[Servicing Instructions Symbol] This symbol alerts the user to the presence of important operating and maintenance (servicing) instructions in the accompanying literature.
Precautions
- The nameplate is located on the bottom of the unit.
- To prevent fire or shock hazard, do not place objects filled with liquids, such as vases, on the apparatus.
- Install this unit so that the AC adaptor can be unplugged from the wall socket immediately in the event of trouble.
- Ensure adequate ventilation to prevent heat build-up. Do not cover ventilation openings.
- Do not install near heat sources, naked flame sources, or in confined spaces.
- If the player is brought from a cold to a warm location, moisture may condense inside; leave the player on for 30 minutes for it to evaporate.
- Operate the player in a horizontal position only.
- Do not place metal objects in front of the front panel, as it may limit radio wave reception.
- Do not place the player where medical equipment is in use.
- If using a pacemaker or other medical device, consult a physician before using wireless LAN functions.
- Do not place heavy or unstable objects on the player.
- Remove discs from the tray when moving the player.
- Disconnect the AC adaptor and all other cables when moving the player.
On Power Sources
The player is not disconnected from AC power as long as it is connected to the wall outlet, even when turned off. Disconnect from the wall outlet if not using for a long time; grasp the plug, not the cord. Do not use a damaged AC adaptor.
On AC Adaptor
Use only the supplied AC adaptor. Do not disassemble, confine, connect to a traveler's transformer, drop, or apply shock to the AC adaptor.
On Adjusting Volume
Avoid turning up volume during sections with very low level inputs or no audio signals to prevent ear and speaker damage.

Any changes or modifications not expressly approved may void your authority to operate this equipment. This transmitter must not be co-located or operated with any other antenna or transmitter. Use shielded interface cables (LAN cable) to comply with digital device limits.

Guide to Parts and Controls
Front Panel
- 1 Door tray: For inserting discs.
- 2 [Open/Close Button]: Opens or closes the disc tray.
- 3 [Power Button] (on/standby): Turns the player on or sets it to standby mode.
- 4 Power indicator: Lights up when the player is on.
- 5 [USB Symbol] jack: Connect a USB device here.
- 6 Remote sensor: Receives signals from the remote.
Rear Panel
- 1 Ventilation holes
- 2 DIGITAL OUT (COAXIAL) jack
- 3 HDMI OUT jack

Remote Control
Buttons with tactile dots ([PLAY], [TV VOL +], [AUDIO]) serve as references. The player returns to standby mode after 20 minutes of inactivity.
- 1 [OPEN/CLOSE]: Opens/closes disc tray.
- -TV- INPUT: Switches TV input sources.
- -TV- [1] (on/standby): Turns TV on/standby.
- [1] (on/standby): Turns player on/standby.
- 2 Color buttons (YELLOW/BLUE/RED/GREEN): Shortcut keys for interactive functions.
- 3 TOP MENU: Opens BD/DVD Top Menu.
- POP UP/MENU: Opens BD-ROM Pop-up Menu or DVD menu.
- OPTIONS: Displays available options.
- RETURN: Returns to previous display.
- Navigation ([↑]/[↓]/[←]/[→]): Moves highlight.
- ENTER (Center Button): Confirms selection.
- HOME: Accesses player's home screen.
- FAVORITE: Accesses favorite application.
- NETFLIX: Accesses the Netflix online service.
- [M/M] (fast reverse/fast forward): Fast reverse/forward playback. Also used for slow motion and frame-by-frame playback.
- [N PLAY]: Starts or re-starts playback.
- [PREV]/[NEXT]: Skips to previous/next chapter, track, or file.
- [X PAUSE]: Pauses or re-starts playback.
- [x STOP]: Stops playback and remembers the stop point.
- SUBTITLE: Selects subtitle language.
- TV VOL +/-: Adjusts TV volume.
- AUDIO: Selects audio language/track.
- MUTING: Temporarily turns off sound.
- DISPLAY: Shows playback information.
Child Lock
To lock/unlock the disc tray, press [x STOP], [HOME], and then [TOP MENU] while the player is on.
Code numbers of controllable TVs
Hold down [-TV-] and the TV manufacturer's code for 2 seconds. Refer to the table for manufacturer codes (e.g., Sony: [YELLOW] color button).
Step 1: Connecting the Player
Do not connect the AC adaptor until all connections are made.
Connecting to your TV
Connect the player to your TV using a High Speed HDMI Cable.
Connecting to your AV amplifier (receiver)
Use either a High Speed HDMI Cable or a Coaxial digital cable, depending on your AV amplifier's input jacks.
Step 2: Preparing for Network Connection
If you are not connecting to a network, proceed to Step 3.
Wired Setup
Use a LAN cable to connect the player's LAN (100) terminal to your router/modem.
Wireless Setup (BDP-S3700/BX370 only)
Use the player's built-in wireless LAN. Connect to your wireless router.
Step 3: Easy Setup
When turned on for the first time, the player will start [Easy Initial Settings]. Follow on-screen instructions using navigation buttons and ENTER.
- Insert two AAA batteries into the remote.
- Connect the supplied AC adaptor to the player (DC IN 12V) and then to the AC outlet.
- Press the [1] button to turn on the player.
- Turn on the TV and select the correct input source using the TV remote's INPUT button.
- Follow on-screen instructions for [Easy Initial Settings] using the player's remote.
Once [Easy Initial Settings] is complete, the player will find available networks.
Home Screen Display
Press [HOME] to access the home screen. Select applications using navigation buttons and ENTER.
- Application Tools: [My Apps], [Featured Apps], [All Apps], [Setup].
- [My Apps]: Manages favorite applications.
- [All Apps]: Shows all available applications; add to [My Apps] via OPTIONS.
- [Setup]: Adjusts player settings.
Screen mirroring is available for BDP-S3700/BX370 models.
Available Options
Pressing OPTIONS displays context-sensitive options like [Move Application], [Remove Application], [Register as Favorite], [Data Contents].
Playback
Playing a Disc
- Switch TV input to the player.
- Press [OPEN/CLOSE], place disc with playback side down, then press [OPEN/CLOSE] to close the tray.
- Playback starts. If not, select [Video], [Music], or [Photo] from (Disc) and press ENTER.
Mixed discs may contain data contents accessible via OPTIONS.
Enjoying BONUSVIEW/BD-LIVE
- Connect a USB memory (1GB or larger) to the player's USB jack for local storage.
- Prepare for BD-LIVE: Connect to a network and set [BD Internet Connection] to [Allow] in [BD/DVD Viewing Settings].
- Insert a BD-ROM with BONUSVIEW/BD-LIVE. Refer to disc instructions for operation.
To delete BD data from USB memory, use [Delete BD Data] in [BD/DVD Viewing Settings].
Playing from a USB Device
- Connect USB device to player's USB jack.
- Select [USB device] using navigation buttons and ENTER.
- Select [Video], [Music], or [Photo] category and press ENTER.
Playing via a Network
Playing files on a Home Network (DLNA) (BDP-S3700/BX370 only)
A DLNA-compatible product can play files from another DLNA-compatible product via a network.
- Prepare to use DLNA: Connect player to network and prepare other DLNA products.
To play a file from a DLNA server via this unit (DLNA player)
Select [Video], [Music], or [Photo] from [Media Server] in [All Apps], then choose the file.
To play a file from a DLNA server via another product (Renderer)
Use a DLNA Controller-compatible product (e.g., phone) to control playback.
Using Screen Mirroring (BDP-S3700/BX370 only)
"Screen mirroring" displays a mobile device's screen on the TV via Miracast. No router is required. Quality may vary due to network interference; adjust [Screen mirroring RF Setting] if needed. Some network functions may be unavailable.
- Select [Screen mirroring] from the home screen using navigation buttons and ENTER.
- Follow on-screen instructions.

Troubleshooting
Picture Issues
- No picture/incorrect picture: Check cables, TV input, [Output Video Resolution], restart player/equipment, check HDMI connection, ensure DVI device supports HDCP, check [24p Output] settings.
Sound Issues
- No sound/incorrect sound: Check cables, AV receiver input, audio settings, restart player/equipment, check HDMI connection, ensure DVI device is not used for audio, check audio format compatibility.
HD Audio Not Output by Bitstream
Set [BD Audio MIX Setting] to [Off]; check AV receiver compatibility.
Interactive Audio Not Output
Set [BD Audio MIX Setting] to [On].
Cinavia Message Code 3
Content is protected by Cinavia and unauthorized for playback on this device.
Disc Issues
- Disc does not play: Check for dirt/skew, correct orientation, playable format, correct finalization, matching region code.
USB Device Issues
- Player does not detect USB device: Ensure secure connection, check for damage, ensure device is on, connect directly if using a hub.
Internet Streaming Issues
- Poor picture/sound: Change connection speed (min. 2.5 Mbps SD, 10 Mbps HD).
- No options menu during streaming.
Network Connection Issues
- Cannot connect to network: Check network connection and settings.
- PC cannot connect after WPS: Adjust router's wireless settings.
- Cannot connect to wireless router: Check router status, move devices closer, avoid 2.4GHz interference (microwaves, Bluetooth).
- Desired wireless router not listed: Retry setup or use [Manual registration].
Control for HDMI (BRAVIA Sync) Issues
Ensure [Control for HDMI] is [On], check HDMI connection, restart player/equipment, or reset [Control for HDMI] settings. Verify component compatibility and settings.
System Power-Off Function Issues
Ensure [Control for HDMI] and [Linked to TV-off] are set correctly.
Other Issues
- Playback does not start from beginning: Use [Play from beginning] option.
- Playback does not start from resume point: Resume point may be cleared by opening tray, disconnecting USB, playing other content, or turning off player.
- Message Code 1 (Cinavia): Content is protected and unauthorized.
- Disc tray does not open: Unlock Child Lock or use tray release procedure (press [x STOP], [HOME], and then [TOP MENU]; or disconnect/reconnect AC adaptor while pressing [Z]).
- [[EJECT] Key is currently unavailable.]: Contact Service center.
- Player does not respond: Moisture may have condensed inside.

Playable Discs
Supports Blu-ray Disc (BD-ROM, BD-R/BD-RE), DVD (DVD-ROM, DVD-R/RW, DVD+R/RW), CD (CD-DA, CD-ROM, CD-R/RW).
Discs that cannot be played include BDs with cartridges, BDXLs, DVD-RAMs, HD DVDs, DVD Audio discs, PHOTO CDs, data parts of CD-Extras, Super VCDs, DualDiscs (audio side), and discs recorded in non-NTSC color systems (e.g., PAL).
Notes: Some discs may not be playable due to evolving Blu-ray specs or copyright protection. Playback operations may be set by software producers. Double-layer discs may have brief interruptions during layer switching. Region codes apply to BD-ROM/DVD VIDEO.
Playable Types of Files
Supports various video (MPEG-1, MPEG-2, Xvid, MPEG4/AVC, VC1, WMV9, Motion JPEG), music (MP3, AAC, WMA, LPCM, FLAC, Dolby Digital, DSF, DSDIFF, AIFF, ALAC, Vorbis, Monkey's Audio), and photo (JPEG, PNG, GIF, BMP) formats. Refer to the document for detailed codec, container, extension, and audio compatibility, including DLNA server limitations.
Notes About the Discs
Handle discs by the edge, avoid touching the surface, keep away from direct sunlight/heat, store in case after playing, clean with a soft cloth (center out), do not use solvents or abrasive cleaners.
About Wireless LAN Security (BDP-S3700/BX370 only)
Supports security functions like WEP, WPA-PSK (TKIP), WPA2-PSK (TKIP), WPA-PSK (AES), WPA2-PSK (AES) to protect wireless communication. Avoid "No Security" for better protection.
Language Code List
A list of language codes conforming to ISO 639: 1988 standard is provided for settings like [BD/DVD Menu Language], [Audio Language], and [Subtitle Language].
