Handling the Remote Controller

Location of the Remote Controller

Keep the remote controller within 8 meters of the indoor unit's receiver for optimal signal transmission. Ensure the controller can transmit signals without obstruction. Obstructions may cause a time lag of up to 15 minutes for timer operations.

Cautions for Handling

Replacing Batteries

The remote control uses two R03/LR03 dry batteries.

  1. Slide the battery compartment cover off.
  2. Replace old batteries with new ones, ensuring correct polarity (+ and -) is observed.
  3. Reattach the cover by sliding it back into place.

After replacing batteries, it is recommended to set the remote controller's clock.

Setting the Clock

Setting the clock is necessary for the remote controller to function correctly, especially for timer operations. The clock display is active even when the air conditioner is off.

Initial Setting of the Clock

  1. After inserting batteries, the clock display will show "12:00".
  2. Press and hold the CLOCK button for 3 seconds; the time will begin to flash.
  3. Use the TEMP/TIME button: press `+` to advance time by one minute (or 10 minutes when held), press `-` to move time backward by one minute (or 10 minutes when held).
  4. Once the correct time is displayed, press the CLOCK button again, or release the `+`/`-` buttons and wait 5 seconds. The time will stop flashing and the clock will start operating.

Readjusting the Clock

To change the time after initial setting, press the CLOCK button for about 3 seconds until the display flashes, then follow steps 1 and 2 of the initial setting.

Note: The clock must be set before the AUTO-TIMER feature will operate. Clock accuracy is within 15 seconds per day.

Caution: Static electricity or high voltage can reset the clock. If the clock displays "12:00" (flashing), readjust it before use.

Operation Modes

Automatic Operation

In AUTO mode, the air conditioner automatically selects cooling, heating (if applicable), or fan-only operation based on the selected temperature and the current room temperature. Once set, these conditions are saved in the unit's memory.

  4. Press the ON/OFF button to start the air conditioner.

To Stop: Press the ON/OFF button again.

If AUTO mode is not comfortable, manual adjustments can be made. Fan speed is automatically controlled in AUTO mode.
