Nakamichi DRAGON 11.4.6 Quick Start Guide

Getting Started

This guide provides instructions for setting up your Nakamichi DRAGON 11.4.6 sound system.

1. Establish a Fresh HDMI Connection

For optimal performance, ensure a clean HDMI connection between the DRAGON and your TV.

• Disconnect all HDMI cables connected to the TV.
• Leave devices unplugged from power for 5 minutes.

2. Power Up DRAGON

Press the power button on the main unit. The subwoofers will turn off automatically when the main unit is shut down.

3. Connect DRAGON to TV

Connect the DRAGON to your TV using the Nakamichi HDMI 2.1 cable. Ensure you use the HDMI ARC/eARC ports on both the DRAGON and the TV.

4. Connect Source Devices

Connect your gaming consoles, streaming devices, or Blu-ray players to the DRAGON via HDMI. Connect your satellite and cable TV boxes to the TV.

5. Enjoy an Authentic 3D Home Cinema Experience

Rotate the PerfectHeight mechanism on the top of each surround speaker so the line points towards the center of your listening area.

DRAGON Remote Guide

Use the remote to control your DRAGON system. The 'TV' button is for TV or devices connected to the TV. Use other input buttons (HDMI 2/3/4, Optical, Aux, BT) for different sources.

Surround Modes:

• All Channel Stereo: Recommended for stereo content like music or YouTube. Enhances soundstage by utilizing all speakers.
• DC SURROUND: For all Dolby (including Atmos) and LPCM 5.1/7.1 content.
• dts NEURAL:X: For all DTS content. DTS:X content will be rendered as DTS:X PRO.
• STUDIO: Repurposes side surround speakers in the main unit as left and right channels, enhancing the front soundstage and applying upmixing.

Personalize DRAGON

Use the on-screen display (OSD) to configure settings. Navigate using the directional buttons and press to confirm. Press to exit OSD.

Sound Personalization:

• CR: Center Volume
• TR: Treble
• SS/SB: Surround (Rear) Side / Back Volume
• FR/RH: Front and Rear Height Volume
• AHD: Nakamichi exclusive height processing
• SUB: Subwoofer Volume

Equalizer: Optimize playback based on content type (Music, Movie, Game, Night).

Favorite Settings: Save your preferred settings by pressing and holding '1' or '2' until confirmation appears.

Default settings: Orange denotes default settings. Default surround mode for HDMI is Dolby Surround. Default for Bluetooth is All Channel Stereo. Default EQ is Movie 2 / Music 1.

Control DRAGON with your phone using the Nakamichi DRAGON app. Scan the QR code or search the app store for "Nakamichi DRAGON".

Bluetooth Wireless Streaming

1. Enable Bluetooth on your device and make it discoverable.
2. On the DRAGON remote, press the Bluetooth button. Then, press and hold until 'BT' blinks rapidly on the main unit's display.
3. Search for 'DRAGON' on your device and pair/connect.
4. Control volume using your device or the DRAGON remote.

Note: Bluetooth connection from TV to soundbar does not support surround sound. Always connect your TV to DRAGON via HDMI ARC/eARC. In Bluetooth input, surround mode defaults to All Channel Stereo, and EQ defaults to Music 1.
