Nakamichi DRAGON Quick Start Guide

Getting Started

1. Establish a Fresh HDMI Connection: Disconnect all HDMI cables from your TV and Nakamichi DRAGON. Leave devices unplugged from power for 5 minutes to ensure a fresh start.

2. Power Up DRAGON: Connect the power cable to your DRAGON system. The system will automatically power on or can be turned on using the power button.

3. Connect DRAGON to TV: Use the Nakamichi HDMI 2.1 cable to connect the DRAGON to your TV's HDMI ARC/eARC port. Ensure the cable is connected to the correct ports on both devices.

4. Connect Source Devices:

• Connect gaming consoles, streaming devices, or Blu-ray players to the DRAGON's HDMI input ports.
• Connect satellite and cable TV boxes to your TV's HDMI input ports.

5. Enjoy an Authentic 3D Home Cinema Experience: Rotate the PerfectHeight mechanism on the top of each surround speaker so the line points towards the center of your listening area.

DRAGON Remote Guide

The remote control allows you to manage various functions of your DRAGON system:

• On/Off: Power the DRAGON system on or off.
• Input Selection: Press 'TV' for TV or TV-connected devices. Use 'HDMI 2/3/4', 'Optical', 'Aux', or 'BT' for other sources.
• Surround Modes:
  • All Channel Stereo: Recommended for stereo content (music, YouTube) to utilize all speakers.
  • Surround: For true 360° sound.
  • DC SURROUND: For Dolby (including Atmos) and LPCM 5.1/7.1 content.
  • dts NEURAL:X: For all DTS content.
  • STUDIO: Repurposes side surround speakers for enhanced front soundstage.
• Personalize Sound: Adjust settings like Center Volume (CR), Treble (TR), Surround Side (SS), Surround Back (SB), and Height Volume (FR/RH).
• Adaptive Height Dispersion (AHD): Nakamichi's exclusive height processing.
• Equalizer: Optimize playback for Music, Movie, Game, or Night modes.
• Favorite Settings: Save and recall custom sound profiles by pressing and holding '1' or '2'.

Note: Default surround mode for HDMI is Dolby Surround. Default for Bluetooth is All Channel Stereo. Default EQ is Movie 2 / Music 1.

Smart Remote App

Control and personalize your sound seamlessly using the Nakamichi DRAGON app:

• Download the app from the App Store or Google Play by scanning the provided QR codes or searching for "Nakamichi DRAGON".
• Sound Check: Power on the system and press the sound check button to hear DRAGON demo tracks.
• Maximize Device Performance: Visit https://bit.ly/dragon-perfect-device-matching for device-specific recommended settings.

Bluetooth Wireless Streaming

1. Enable Bluetooth on your device and make it discoverable.
2. On the DRAGON remote, press the Bluetooth button. Then, press and hold until 'BT' blinks rapidly on the main unit's display.
3. Search for 'DRAGON' on your device and pair/connect.
4. Control volume using your device or the DRAGON remote.

Important: Bluetooth connection from TV to the main unit does not support surround sound. Always connect your TV to DRAGON via HDMI ARC/eARC for the best audio experience.
