SONOFF 4CH/4CHPRO User Manual V1.3
This document provides a comprehensive user manual for the SONOFF 4CH and 4CHPRO smart switches.
Product Overview
The SONOFF 4CH and 4CHPRO are 4-gang Wi-Fi smart switches. The 4CHPROR3 also includes RF control capabilities, allowing for local short-range wireless control independent of Wi-Fi.
Models: 4CHR3, 4CHPROR3
Safety Precautions
Important: Electrical installation and maintenance should only be performed by a qualified electrician. Never operate wiring or touch terminals while the device is powered on to avoid electric shock.
For electrical safety, it is essential to install a Miniature Circuit Breaker (MCB) or Residual Current Operated Circuit Breaker (RCBO) with the appropriate current rating (16A for 4CHR3, 40A for 4CHPROR3) before the smart switch.
Safety Instructions:
- This product is not a toy and is intended for adult use only.
- Maximum ambient temperature during use should not exceed 40°C.
- The appliance is suitable for moderate climates only.
- Ensure proper ventilation; do not cover the appliance with items that obstruct airflow.

Wiring Instructions
Power Off: Always turn off the power before performing any wiring.
Light Fixture Wiring:
For 4CHR3 (AC Input):
Connect the main power (L and N) to the 'L In' and 'N In' terminals respectively. Connect the loads to the 'L1 Out', 'L2 Out', 'L3 Out', and 'L4 Out' terminals, and their respective neutral wires to the 'N' terminal.
For 4CHPROR3 (AC Input):
Similar to the 4CHR3, connect main power to 'L In' and 'N In'. Connect loads to the output terminals and their neutral wires to the 'N' terminal. The 4CHPROR3 also has an RF input and DC input option.
For 4CHPROR3 (DC Input):
Connect the DC power source (9-23V DC) to the designated DC input terminals.
Socket Wiring: (Ground wire connection is optional if not available)
Follow the diagrams provided for connecting sockets, ensuring correct wiring for live (L), neutral (N), and ground (G) connections.
Equipment Installation
The devices support 35mm rail installation. Mount the device securely on the rail.

Common Problems
Q: Device stays "Offline"?
A: Allow 1-2 minutes for the device to connect. If it remains offline, check the Wi-Fi indicator status:
- Blue Wi-Fi indicator flashes quickly once per second: Failed to connect to Wi-Fi. Check password, distance to router, interference, or ensure 2.4GHz network is used. MAC address filtering might be enabled on the router; disable it if necessary. As a last resort, create a mobile hotspot and try adding the device again.
- Blue indicator flashes twice per second: Connected to Wi-Fi but not to the server. Ensure a stable network connection. Frequent double flashes may indicate an unstable network. If the network is stable, try power cycling the switch.
