Features Guide
3Dconnexion Keyboard Pro
3Dconnexion Keys
The keyboard features 12 additional programmable function keys located above the standard keys. It instantly recognizes the applications and environments being used and automatically assigns the most frequently used commands to these keys. Note: The 3Dconnexion keys require the 3Dconnexion driver (3DxWare) to be installed on your PC to function.
On-Screen Display (OSD)
After installing the 3Dconnexion driver, the OSD will appear on your desktop, providing a visual reminder of the commands assigned to the 3Dconnexion keys. You can easily drag and drop the OSD to a more convenient position (e.g., on the Windows taskbar near the notification area) according to your preference.
FN Key
Press the FN key to control multimedia keys. Hold down the FN key to assign a series of practical commands to the 3Dconnexion keys. This allows you to launch your favorite applications and access multimedia controls. Hold down the FN key and open the 3Dconnexion Settings panel to customize them according to your preferences.
Multimedia Keys
Whether for a virtual meeting, listening to music, or watching videos, you can use the F9-F12 keys in combination with the FN key to control your PC's microphone and speakers.
Smart Print Key
The 3Dconnexion Smart Print key allows you to capture screenshots of your screen instantly. Pressing the Smart Print key launches Microsoft Windows' screen capture function. You can choose to capture a rectangle or the entire screen and create the screenshot, which is automatically saved to the clipboard and ready to be pasted into your documents and presentations.
Integrated 3Dconnexion Receiver
The Keyboard Pro is equipped with an integrated 3Dconnexion Receiver, enabling you to connect a Numpad Pro and up to five 3Dconnexion devices from the SpaceMouse and CadMouse lines to your PC. To proceed with wireless connection of a new 3Dconnexion product, open the 3Dconnexion Settings panel for your Keyboard Pro, click the Paired Devices button, and follow the instructions.
3Dconnexion Numpad Pro
3Dconnexion Keys
The Numpad Pro features four additional programmable function keys located above the standard keys. It instantly recognizes the applications and environments being used and automatically assigns the most frequently used commands to these keys. Note: The 3Dconnexion keys require the 3Dconnexion driver (3DxWare) to be installed on your PC to function.
On-Screen Display
After driver installation, the OSD for your Numpad Pro is hidden by default. To enable it, open the 3Dconnexion Settings panel, select Numpad Pro, click Buttons, and check the 'Always show On-Screen Display' box.
Global Programmable Keys
In addition to the 3Dconnexion keys, the Numpad Pro provides five global programmable keys whose function remains the same system-wide, regardless of the application you are working in. They can be easily customized via the 3Dconnexion driver: open the 3Dconnexion Settings panel, select Numpad Pro, and click Advanced Settings.
Decimal Separator
You can adjust the behavior of the Numpad Pro's decimal separator according to your preferences via the 3Dconnexion driver: open the 3Dconnexion Settings panel, select Numpad Pro, and click Buttons.

The Numpad Pro has an LED that indicates the battery and connection status.
- Battery Status: Immediately after powering on the device or waking it from suspension, the LED will show the current charge level:

- Blue (flashing): Ready for Bluetooth connection.
Recharge Numpad Pro
Connect your Numpad Pro to a computer USB port using the included USB cable. While charging, the Numpad Pro's LED will flash green, and its light will turn solid when fully charged.
Connect Numpad Pro
The Numpad Pro can be connected via the 3Dconnexion Receiver integrated into your Keyboard Pro, Bluetooth® (Swift Pair included), or the included USB cable. Wireless communication between the Keyboard Pro and Numpad Pro is always encrypted to ensure data security.
Note: Since your Numpad Pro is factory-paired with the Keyboard, you must first remove this connection before pairing it with your PC via Bluetooth. To do this, open 3Dconnexion Settings, select Keyboard Pro, and go to Paired Devices.
Upon the next device power-on, the Numpad Pro's LED will start flashing blue, indicating Bluetooth pairing availability. Ensure your PC's Bluetooth adapter is active and in discoverable mode. If your PC supports Swift Pair, simply bring your Numpad Pro close to the PC and follow the instructions that Windows displays in notifications. Otherwise, select Numpad Pro from the list of available devices within Windows settings to pair it with your PC.
3Dconnexion Settings
You can access the 3Dconnexion software settings panel via the 3Dconnexion Home icon (on the desktop), the icon in the notification area (systray), or the Windows start menu. The name of the active application is displayed at the top of the panel. Any settings changes are valid only for that specific application. If multiple 3Dconnexion devices are connected to your PC, you can select the desired product to configure by clicking the dropdown button in the top-left corner of the panel.
Advanced Settings
The settings configurable in the Advanced Settings panel are not application-specific but are the same for all applications system-wide.

Numpad Pro
- Key Configuration: Clicking the arrow (➡️) next to a key field opens a pop-up window to assign commands, macros, or radial menus to the keys (see the "Assigning Quick Macros to Buttons" section).
Buttons
The Buttons panel within 3Dconnexion Settings allows you to assign commands, macros, or radial menus to the programmable 3Dconnexion keys, located on the upper part of the Keyboard Pro or Numpad Pro. The name of the active application is displayed at the top of the panel. Any settings modifications are valid only for that application. While using an application, the On-Screen Display always shows the specific current key assignment. Deselect 'Always show On-Screen Display' to hide the OSD.
Note on recognizing the work environment within an application: some applications feature a work-environment-sensitive key mapping (e.g., Assembly, Part, ...). In such applications, you may have different key assignments depending on the active environment.
Numpad Pro - Decimal Separator
You can decide whether the decimal separator behavior should follow system settings or if you want to manually choose the Comma or Dot setting for a specific application.
Assigning Quick Macros to Buttons
Click on the text in the key field and press the required key or key combination to quickly assign a key sequence or macro to a 3Dconnexion key. When a macro is created, it always sends a press-and-release command. If you wish to assign a prolonged press command (e.g., Ctrl or Shift), you can use the 'Keyboard' command category in the pop-up window.
Assigning Commands via Pop-up Window
Clicking the arrow (➡️) on the right side of the key field opens a pop-up window for that Keyboard Pro or Numpad Pro key. The command category to which the 3Dconnexion key is currently assigned is highlighted in bold. The pop-up window allows you to scroll through or search for commands in various categories, such as 3Dconnexion commands or commands specific to the running application. When you select a command by clicking on it, it is automatically assigned to the Keyboard Pro or Numpad Pro key.
Creating a Macro
First, click the arrow (➡️) to the right of the key field, expand the 'Macros' category, and click 'New Macro'. The macro editor will open, where you can assign a name to the macro and a key sequence in the corresponding fields. Clicking 'Save' will automatically assign the new macro to the button from which the panel was opened.
Creating a Radial Menu
First, click the arrow (➡️) to the right of the key field, expand the 'Radial Menus' category, and click 'New Radial Menu'. The radial menu editor will open, allowing you to assign a name and commands to the different sections. The new radial menu will be automatically assigned to the key from which the panel was opened.
Paired Devices
Since the Keyboard Pro has an integrated 3Dconnexion Receiver, you can connect a Numpad Pro and up to five 3Dconnexion devices from the SpaceMouse and CadMouse lines via the Paired Devices panel. First, click the 'Add device' or '+' button, then select the device and follow the guided instructions. Wireless communication between the Numpad Pro and Keyboard Pro is fully encrypted.
