ASUS Desktop PC Installation Guide
Introduction
This guide provides essential steps for installing and setting up your ASUS Desktop PC. It covers connecting devices, selecting the correct power input voltage, and important safety information.

Step 1: Connect Devices
Connect your peripherals and essential devices to the appropriate ports on your ASUS Desktop PC. The diagrams illustrate common connection points on the front and rear panels.
Common Front Panel Ports:

- 5.25-inch optical disk drive bay (optional eject button)

Refer to the diagrams for specific port layouts on models D520MT/BM2CD, D521MT/MD330/BM3CD, and D520SF/SD330/BP1CD.
Step 2: Select System Input Voltage and Connect Power
Ensure the system's input voltage matches your local power supply:
- If your area's voltage is 100-127V, set the voltage selector to 115V.
- If your area's voltage is 200-240V, set the voltage selector to 230V.
WARNING: Setting the voltage selector incorrectly may seriously damage your system.
Connect one end of the power cord to the PC's power connector and the other end to a wall power outlet.
Step 3: Power On the System
Press the power button on the front of the PC to turn on the system.

Safety Information
Please observe the following safety precautions:
- Ensure all cables are correctly connected before use. Contact your retailer immediately if any cable damage is detected.
- Use the product only with the correct voltage as instructed by the manufacturer.
- Keep small objects like paper scraps, screws, and threads away from connectors, slots, sockets, and circuits to prevent short circuits and faulty contacts.
- Always unplug the system from the power source before adding or removing devices.
- System covers may have sharp tips and edges. Wear gloves when removing or replacing system covers.
- If the power supply or system is damaged, do not attempt self-repair. Contact a qualified service technician or your retailer.
RTC (Real-Time Clock) battery replacement: Incorrect replacement may pose an explosion hazard. Use only the same or equivalent battery type as recommended by the manufacturer and dispose of used batteries according to manufacturer instructions.
ENERGY STAR Information
ASUS products with the ENERGY STAR logo comply with ENERGY STAR standards. Power management is enabled by default, setting the monitor to sleep after 10 minutes and the computer after 30 minutes of inactivity. Wake your computer by clicking the mouse or pressing any key.
