The white light can be set to three modes:
- MAX BURN TIME: Provides the longest possible illumination duration with lower brightness.
- STANDARD: Offers a balance between brightness and burn time.
- MAX POWER: Delivers the highest brightness for maximum visibility.
Red Lighting Modes
The headlamp also features red lighting:
- Red Lighting: Useful for close-range tasks without disturbing night vision or other people.

HYBRID Headlamp System
The ACTIK CORE headlamp is a HYBRID device, meaning it is compatible with standard AAA-LR03 alkaline, lithium, or Ni-MH rechargeable batteries, as well as the Petzl CORE rechargeable battery.
WARNING: When using the CORE battery, be aware that the light may turn off abruptly when the battery is nearly depleted.
CORE Rechargeable Battery
Charging the CORE Rechargeable Battery
Your lamp is equipped with a Petzl Li-Ion rechargeable battery (1250 mAh capacity).
It is essential to fully charge the battery before its first use. Always use a Petzl CORE rechargeable battery.
General Information: Li-Ion rechargeable batteries typically lose about 10% of their capacity annually. After approximately 300 charge/discharge cycles, they should still retain around 70% of their original capacity.
Charging Procedure
WARNING: Ensure you use only a USB cable for charging. The charger's output voltage must not exceed 5 V. Only use a Class II electrical, CE/UL approved charger, which provides double insulation against hazardous voltages. Never leave the battery unattended while it is charging.
Charging Time
Charging takes approximately 3 hours when using the Petzl USB charger or connecting to a computer.
Warning: Connecting multiple USB devices to your computer simultaneously may increase the charging time, potentially up to 24 hours.
Replacing the Rechargeable Battery
Only use a Petzl CORE rechargeable battery. Using any other type of rechargeable battery may damage your lamp.
Malfunction Troubleshooting
If the lamp is not working correctly:
- Check the condition and polarity of the batteries.
- Verify that the contacts are clean and free from corrosion. If corrosion is present, gently scrape the contacts clean without deforming them.
- If the lamp still does not function, please contact Petzl for assistance.

Battery Precautions (Standard and Rechargeable)
Precautions for Standard Batteries
WARNING - DANGER: Risk of explosion and burns.
- Do not attempt to open or dismantle batteries.
- Do not dispose of batteries in fire.
- Do not short-circuit the batteries, as this can cause burns.
- Do not attempt to recharge non-rechargeable batteries.
- Always observe correct battery polarity; follow the markings on the battery case.
- If a battery leaks electrolyte, avoid all contact with this corrosive and dangerous liquid. Seek medical attention immediately if contact occurs. Replace all batteries and dispose of defective batteries according to current local regulations.
- Do not mix batteries of different brands.
- Do not mix new and used batteries.
- Remove batteries from the lamp for prolonged storage.
- Keep batteries out of reach of children.
Precautions for Rechargeable Batteries
WARNING - DANGER: Risk of explosion and burns.
WARNING: Incorrect use can damage the rechargeable battery.
- Do not submerge the rechargeable battery in water.
- Do not dispose of a rechargeable battery in fire.
- Do not expose the battery to high temperatures. Adhere to the recommended usage and storage temperatures.
- Do not destroy the rechargeable battery, as it may explode or release toxic materials.
- If your rechargeable battery is damaged, deformed, or cracked, do not dismantle it or alter its structure. Dispose of the rechargeable battery in accordance with current local regulations.
- If the battery leaks electrolyte, avoid all contact with this corrosive and dangerous liquid. Seek medical attention if contact occurs. Replace the battery and dispose of the defective battery according to current local regulations.
Lamp Precautions
WARNING: The headband may pose a strangulation risk. Small parts, such as batteries, can present a choking hazard.
