Product Overview

This manual provides information about the BASS JAXX METALLIC TRUE WIRELESS EARBUDS (Model EP-0717). Please read the instructions before using.

Earbuds

The product consists of two wireless earbuds designed for audio playback and communication.

Charging Case

A portable case used to store and recharge the earbuds.

Components:

  • Earbuds:
    • 1. LED Indicator: Shows charging status or pairing mode.
    • 2. Touch Control Area: Used for music playback control, call management, and voice assistant activation.
    • 3. Built-in Microphone: For making calls and voice commands.
  • Charging Case:
    • 4. USB-Type-C Charging Port: For recharging the case.
    • 5. LED Indicator: Shows the charging status of the case.
  • USB Plug: Standard USB-A connector for power input.
  • USB Type-C Charging Cable: Cable to connect the charging case to a power source.

Caution: The USB Type-C charging cable included with this item is intended for use with this product. Only use the included USB Type-C charging cable to charge this product. USB Type-C Charging Cable rating 5V/1A Max.

Power On/Off

Power On

Take out the earbuds from the charging case; they will automatically turn on and the LED indicator will flash. The earbuds can also be powered on manually by touching and holding the touch control area of the earbud for more than 3 seconds.

Power Off

Place the earbuds back into the charging case; they will automatically turn off. The earbuds will power off if the control area is held for more than 5 seconds. The earbuds will also power off automatically if no Bluetooth connection is made within 5 minutes.

Pairing the Wireless Earbuds with Your Mobile Device

Follow these steps to connect your earbuds to a mobile device:

  1. Keep the distance between the earbuds and mobile device within 32.8 feet (approx. 10 meters).
  2. De-activate the Bluetooth function on your mobile device.
  3. Take both earbuds out from the charging case and wait for 3 to 5 seconds for auto-pairing. The earbud indicator will blink alternatively in Red and Blue. One earbud will blink in Blue slowly when auto-pairing is done successfully on L/R earbuds.
  4. Activate the Bluetooth function on your mobile device and select "EP-0717 TWS" from the list shown.
  5. After pairing is successful, both earbuds will start blinking slowly in blue.

Manual Pairing (if auto-pairing fails)

If automatic pairing is unsuccessful, follow these steps for manual pairing:

  1. Ensure the earbuds are charged.
  2. De-activate the Bluetooth function on your mobile device (and any other nearby devices that may have been previously paired).
  3. Power on both earbuds simultaneously by pressing the touch control area for 3 seconds and wait for 3 to 5 seconds for auto-pairing (keep mobile device Bluetooth off during this step).
  4. Activate the Bluetooth function on your mobile device and select "EP-0717 TWS" from the list shown.
  5. After successful pairing, both earbuds will blink slowly in blue.

Connecting and Disconnecting

Reconnect to Mobile Device

When powered on, the wireless earbuds will automatically connect with the last successfully paired device.

Disconnect from Mobile Device

  • Switch off the Bluetooth on your mobile phone.
  • Or, leave the earbuds more than 60 feet (approx. 18 meters) away from your mobile phone.

Call Functions

Answer / Reject a Call

When receiving a call, click the touch control area once (on either earbud) to accept the call, or answer the call normally via your mobile phone. Touch and hold the touch control area for 2 seconds to reject the call.

End a Call

To end the call, click the touch control area once on either earbud. A beep sound will indicate the call has ended.

Music Functions

  • Pause / Play Music: Click the touch control area once.
  • Skip to Next Track: Double-click the touch control area on the right earbud.
  • Back to Previous Track: Double-click the touch control area on the left earbud.
  • Voice Assistant: Press and hold the touch control area for 2 seconds.

Charging Your Earbuds

  1. Open the charging case cover.
  2. Insert the earbuds into the charging case.
  3. The earbuds will start to charge automatically.
  4. The LED indicator of the earbud will turn Red when charging. The Blue LED on the Charging case will be on.
  5. Once fully charged, all LEDs will turn off.

Recharge Charging Case

For your safety, please always use an appropriate 5V input charger/adapter to charge the product. DO NOT USE Quick Charging USB Adapter to charge the product, as it might damage the product.

  1. Use the USB Type-C charging cable provided with the packaging.
  2. Connect the USB Type-C plug to the USB Type-C charging port on the charging case, then connect the USB plug to a wall adapter to begin charging.
  3. The Red LED on the charging case will be flashing during charging.
  4. Once fully charged, the Red LED will stop flashing.

Notes:

  • You must select a qualified charger from a regular manufacturer.
  • You must charge the charging case and earbuds if they have not been used for more than 6 months.

FAQ

If the wireless earbuds cannot be paired with your device:

  • Ensure that your earbuds are in pairing mode or reconnection mode.
  • Ensure that the Bluetooth search function of your mobile device is activated.

If the wireless earbuds will not turn on:

Make sure the earbuds are fully charged.

Can I change the battery for the earbuds and the charging case?

The wireless earbuds and the charging case use a built-in non-detachable battery which cannot be removed.

If the charging case cannot be recharged:

If you use a power outlet, ensure that the power supply is connected securely and the outlet works.

Safety Instructions for Lithium Battery and Charging the Product

  • The input voltage to the product is 5V 1A.
  • To charge the product safely and reliably, please adopt only certified appropriate chargers/adapters.
  • Only charge the product at ambient temperatures between 10°C (50°F) and 40°C (104°F).
  • Do not heat above 70°C (158°F), e.g., do not expose to sunlight or throw into fire.
  • Switch off the product after use.
  • Please note that 1616 Holdings, Inc. will not take responsibility for any wrong operation (e.g., voltage higher than 5V) as this may result in severe injury or loss of property, and they cannot control the operating process during the time the user is using this product.
  • In extreme cases, abuse or misuse of a Lithium battery pack can lead to explosion, heat generation, fire development, or smoke development.
