Connections Diagram Overview
The system consists of the following components:
- A: Soundbar
- B: Remote Control Receiver / Status LED
- C: Wireless Rear Speakers
- D: Wireless Subwoofer
- E: External Device (e.g., Blu-ray player, game console)
Step-by-Step Connection Guide
- Connect Soundbar to TV: Connect the soundbar to your TV via an optical cable or an HDMI cable.
- Connect External Devices: If using an external device (e.g., Set-top box, Blu-ray player, game console), connect it to the soundbar or to the TV via an HDMI cable. HDMI cables, optical cables, or USB extension cables may need to be purchased separately.
- Connect Power: Connect power in the following order: Wireless subwoofer, then wireless rear speakers, and finally the soundbar. Turn on the soundbar. The LEDs on the wireless subwoofer and rear speakers will light up green when the connection is automatically established.
Using the Product with Your TV
- Press the Function button on the soundbar repeatedly until the corresponding LED indicator lights up white (for TV connection) or golden yellow (for external device connected via HDMI IN).
- On your TV's settings, select the audio output speaker as [HDMI ARC], [Optical], [LG WOWCAST], or [External Speaker]. If your LG TV supports the WOWCAST built-in function, you can connect wirelessly.
Connecting to Your Smartphone via Wi-Fi
- Connect your smartphone to Wi-Fi.
- Install the LG ThinQ app from Google Play or the App Store.
- Run the LG ThinQ app and follow the on-screen instructions.
- The product will connect to your smartphone, allowing control via the LG ThinQ app.
Connecting to Your Smartphone via Bluetooth
- On your smartphone, go to Settings, select Bluetooth, and turn the function on.
- Press the Bluetooth pair button on the soundbar. LED1 and LED2 will blink white.
- On your smartphone, find and select "LG_Speaker_S95TR_XXXX".
- When the product is connected via Bluetooth, LED1 and LED2 will light up white.
Troubleshooting Wireless Speaker Connection (Red LED)
If you see a red LED on the wireless subwoofer or rear speakers, it indicates a lost connection. Follow these steps:
- Press the Power button on the soundbar to turn it off.
- Press the PAIRING button on the back of the wireless subwoofer or wireless rear speakers. Check if the LED blinks green.
- If the red LED persists, press and hold the PAIRING button again.
- Press the Power button on the soundbar to turn it on.
- A green LED light on the wireless subwoofer or rear speakers indicates a successful connection.
Important Placement and Usage Notes
- Keep the soundbar, subwoofer, and wireless rear speakers at least 1 meter (approx. 3 feet) away from devices that may cause wireless interference, such as wireless routers or microwave ovens.
- Some speakers may not produce sound depending on the input source. Select the BASS BLAST (BASS BLAST+) sound mode to ensure sound is output through all speakers.
