Getting Started
System Overview
The EcoFlow Power Hub system diagram illustrates how various components connect to form a complete power solution. The central EcoFlow Power Hub (1) acts as the core, connecting to an AC/DC Smart Distribution Panel (2) and a Power Kit Console (3). It can integrate with EcoFlow 2kWh or 5kWh LFP Batteries (4) and an EcoFlow Smart Generator (5). Power sources include Shore Power/Grid Power (6), Rigid/Flexible Solar Panels (7), Foldable/Portable Solar Panels (8), and a Vehicle Alternator (9). The system powers DC Appliances (3) and AC Appliances (1).
Important Notes:
- If the product is installed in an enclosed space, proper ventilation is a MUST to prevent this product from overheating.
- For safety reasons, it is recommended to install a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI), also known as Residual Current Device (RCD) in the AC input and AC output of the Power Hub. Please refer to local regulations regarding grounding of autonomous power systems.
- Before connecting this product to an EcoFlow LFP Battery, ensure that there is no charging input connected to the Power Hub and the LFP Battery is powered off.
- It is not recommended to use one Power Hub with both 2kWh and 5kWh LFP battery at the same time.
- It is not recommended to connect or disconnect the LFP battery when the system is on.
Product Overview
The EcoFlow Power Hub has a front panel with various ports and indicators. From left to right on the top row: ALT IN / PV IN 1 Port (1), PV IN 2/3 Port (2), Battery 1/2/3 Port / Smart Generator Port (3), AC IN Port (4), and AC OUT Port (5) (specific to region). The front panel also features a Main Power Button (6), DC OUT Button (7), AC OUT Button (8), and indicators for AC Out (9), DC Out (10), AC IN (11), PV IN 2/3 (12), and ALT IN / PV IN 1 (13). The rear or side panel includes RJ45 CAN Bus Ports (14), DC Main OUT Port (15), AC Main OUT Port (16), an Earth Stud (17), an Air Outlet (18), and an Air Inlet (19).
CAN Bus Connection
The CAN Bus connection diagram shows two RJ45 CAN Bus Ports (14) on the Power Hub. It illustrates three scenarios for system communication stability:
- When neither the AC/DC Smart Distribution Panel nor the Power Kit Console is connected, two RJ45 CAN Bus terminators must be connected to the Power Hub's CAN Bus ports.
- When the AC/DC Smart Distribution Panel and the Power Kit Console are connected to the Power Hub, no terminators are needed on the Hub itself (they are assumed to be on the connected devices or not required).
- When either the AC/DC Smart Distribution Panel or the Power Kit Console is connected, one RJ45 CAN Bus terminator must be connected to the Power Hub's remaining CAN Bus port.
Both ports must be connected to stabilize communication throughout the system. Not doing so will cause the system to malfunction.
Product Usage
Power On / Off
Press and hold the Main Power Button (6) for 3 seconds ⏱️ to power on or off. The status indicators (top right) will flash 3 times and then stabilize (on for power on, off for power off). Please wait 5 seconds to let the system completely shut down before further operation after pressing the main power button. Ensure that there is no charging input connected to the Power Hub before shutting down the Power Kits.
DC Output
When the power is on, short press the DC OUT button (7) to enable DC Output. Short press again to disable DC Output. Status: ✅ DC OUT: White light solid; ⚠️ Error: Orange light flashing.
AC Output
When the power is on, short press the AC OUT button (8) to enable AC Output. Short press again to disable AC Output. When the Power Hub is in idle mode, please turn off AC Output to avoid power loss. Status: ✅ AC OUT: White light solid; ⚠️ Error: Orange light flashing.
AC Charging
The EcoFlow Power Hub features EcoFlow fast charging technology X-Stream. The maximum AC charging power is 3000 W and the maximum AC charging current is 15 A. Users can adjust the charging current via EcoFlow App or Power Kit Console. The default charging current is 10 A. EcoFlow is not liable for damages caused by the use of charging cables not provided by EcoFlow. Status: ? Charging: White light flashing; ✅ Fully charged: White light solid; ⚠️ Error: Orange light flashing.
Smart Generator Charging
The Power Kits can be recharged by connecting an EcoFlow Smart Generator. This can be done via DC Charging (connecting the Smart Generator to the Power Hub with the Smart Generator Charging Cable) or AC Charging (connecting the Smart Generator to the Power Hub with the AC Charging Cable). The Smart Generator and charging cable are sold separately.
Solar Charging
The Power Hub has three PV (Photovoltaic) input ports, with a total power of 4800 W for the three ports and 1600 W for each port. PV2/3 ports are dedicated PV input ports, while PV1 can be connected to a vehicle alternator for charging or be used as a PV input port. The maximum input current is 30 A per port. Status: ? Charging: White light flashing; ✅ Fully charged: White light solid; ⚠️ Error: Orange light flashing.
Vehicle Alternator Charging
Users can connect the ALT IN / PV IN 1 Port of the Power Hub and the chassis battery of the vehicle through the alternator charging cable provided by EcoFlow. The Power Hub accepts both 12 V and 24 V alternators, and the maximum charging power is 1000 W. The maximum charging current is 60 A, and the default charging current is 30 A. Users can adjust the charging current via EcoFlow App or Power Kit Console. It is strongly recommended to unplug the alternator charging cable from the Power Hub when the vehicle is not in use for a long time. Status: ? Charging: White light flashing; ✅ Fully charged: White light solid; ⚠️ Error: Orange light flashing.
X-Boost Feature
With EcoFlow X-Boost technology, this product can power a 5200 W Max device (for heating appliances only) while the rated output power remains 3600 W, avoiding operation failure due to overload protection. The X-Boost feature is unavailable when AC Output is in bypass mode and is not suitable for all appliances, particularly those with voltage protection like precision instruments. Its suitability depends on the specific appliance and operating conditions.
Bypass Mode
In Bypass Mode, when the product is connected to external AC and the AC output is enabled, the system uses the external AC power supply as the primary source for AC output. The LFP battery is also charged by this external AC power supply. The diagram shows AC IN flowing to AC OUT and also charging BATTERIES, with PV and Alternator inputs also present.
Inverter Mode
When external AC power is not available, the system enters Inverter Mode. In this mode, AC Output is supplied by the LFP battery. The diagram shows power flowing from BATTERIES to AC OUT, with PV and Alternator inputs available for charging the batteries.
Standby Mode
When DC OUT and AC OUT have no continuous output for 20 seconds, the Power Hub will enter Standby Mode automatically to reduce power consumption and save battery energy. Press the DC OUT or AC OUT button to wake up the system. The Power Hub will not enter Standby Mode during firmware update.
