Safety Instructions & Warnings

[warning] YOUR CHILD'S SAFETY DEPENDS ON YOU!!!

  • Provide on-site adult supervision for children 3-8 years at all times.
  • Place playground equipment on level ground, at least 6 feet (1.8m) from any structures or obstacles (fences, garages, houses, electrical lines, etc.).
  • Teach children to sit in the centre of seats. NEVER allow children to stand on seats or lean to the side.
  • Ensure children are dressed appropriately: avoid ponchos, scarves, jewellery, loose shoes, or clothing with loose strings that could be hazardous.
  • Do not use equipment in any manner other than intended.
  • Anchor all gyms securely. DO NOT install over concrete, asphalt, gravel, or other hard surfaces that could cause injury upon falling.
  • Ensure equipment is properly assembled and anchored before use.
  • Instruct children to avoid swinging empty play stations.
  • Instruct children to keep a safe distance from moving parts.
  • Do not allow children to twist chains or ropes, or loop them over the support bar.
  • Instruct children not to get off play items while in motion.
  • Do not allow children to climb or play on equipment when wet.
  • DO NOT allow children to climb on or swing from structural members (legs, top bar, chin bars). These are structural components only.
  • Do not allow play items to swing more than 60 degrees.
  • Ensure all hex nuts are tightened securely and bolt threads are covered.
  • Do not attach items not specifically designed for the equipment (e.g., jump ropes, clotheslines) as they may cause strangulation hazards.
  • At the end of each play season, remove plastic plays and store indoors. Do not use plastic items when temperatures are below 32°F (0°C).
  • Dispose of packaging properly after assembly.
  • Retain this manual for future reference and review each season.

[warning] Unexpected movement (tipping, lifting, overturning) may result in serious injury or death. The swing set must be securely anchored before use.

Proper Play Conditions:

  • Use in a well-lit area.
  • Maintain clear space on all sides. Ensure no hazardous objects (walls, fences, trees, electrical wiring, rocks, sprinklers) are nearby.
  • Do not use in windy or rainy conditions.

Maintenance Instructions

Regular checks are crucial to prevent injury.

  • Check fixings regularly for tightness, sharp edges, or deterioration. Tighten or replace as needed.
  • Check paintwork and touch up with enamel if necessary.
  • Oil all metallic moving parts.
  • Inspect all parts (tubes, screws, nuts, spacers) for deterioration. Replace parts according to manufacturer's instructions. Failure to do so may result in injury or hazard.
  • Sand rusted areas and tubular members, then repaint with non-lead based paint if required.
  • Retain instructions for assembly, maintenance, and safe use.
  • Perform these checks at the beginning of each season and at regular intervals during the usage season.

Specifications

Designed for children ages 3+ years.

Maximum weight: 50kg per swing seat, 35kg per glider rider seat.

Intended for normal residential use only. Not for day care, nurseries, or public places.

Assembly by adults only, following this manual.

Product must be anchored. Anchors are included.

Assembly Instructions

Assembly requires two adults for safety and ease. Assemble near the final anchoring location.

Step 1: Assemble Top Bars

Connect Top bar B into Top bar A, ensuring alignment of holes. Use two M10x45mm bolts from Screw set (14) and Washer A on the M8x15mm screws. Tighten all nuts and bolts securely, then turn about one-half rotation further for added security.

Step 2: Attach Leg Tubes

Place assembled top bars on a flat surface. Insert Leg tube A (Part 3) into the top bars, ensuring the end with two holes aligns. Secure using eight M8x38mm bolts (from Screw set 23) with Washer E on the bolts and Washer B on the M6x12mm screws.

Step 3: Attach Glider Bracket

Place Glider bracket (10) on the squared section of the top bar. Secure using the V-bolt (from V-bolt set 16) inserted from underneath.

Step 4: Attach Support Bars

Insert Leg tube B (Part 4) into Leg tube A (Part 3), aligning holes. Place Plastic covers (24) on both ends of the Support bar (5). Secure the support bar to the legs using four M8x38mm bolts (from Screw set 23) with Washer E on the bolts and Washer B on the M6x12mm screws.

Step 5: Attach Horizontal and Vertical Poles

Secure the Horizontal bar (6) to the Vertical pole (7) using two M8x73mm bolts (from Screw set 17) with Washer C between the poles and Washer B on the M6x12mm screws.

Step 6: Attach Footrests

Insert vertical poles into the Footrests (8), aligning holes. Secure the footrests to the vertical poles using two M6x40mm screws (from Screw set 19) with Washer D on the protruding side of the screw.

Step 7: Attach Glider Seats

Secure Glider seat (9) onto the horizontal bars using four M6x38mm screws (from Screw set 18) from the top, with Washer D on the protruding screws.

Step 8: Attach Glider Connecting Bars

Attach the Glider connecting bar (12) onto the vertical pole, ensuring the top curved parts face each other. Secure using two M8x21mm screws (from Screw set 20) with Washer B.

Step 9: Secure Glider Bracket Assembly

Place Plastic covers (21) on the top of the glider connecting bar. Align holes and insert into the glider bracket. Secure using two M8x47mm bolts (from Screw set 15) through the bracket, plastic covers, and connecting bars, with Washer B on the M6x12mm screws.

Step 10: Attach Swing Seats

Thread the U bolt from the U-type bolt set (22) through the hole on the metal part of the swing rope. Insert the U bolt into the holes on the top bar and secure it using the M10x30mm bolt.

Step 11: Anchor the Swing Set

Ensure the swing set is anchored to the ground using the provided Anchors (11) and four M8x38mm bolts (from Screw set 23).

Location and Placement

Place the swing set on level ground, a minimum of 6 feet (1.83m) from any structure or obstruction.

Do not install over hard surfaces like concrete or asphalt. A fall onto a hard surface can cause serious injury.

Ensure a minimum overhead clearance of 6 feet (1.83m) if placing near electrical lines.

Protective Surfacing

Proper placement and maintenance of protective surfacing is essential to reduce injury risk from falls.

Extend surfacing at least 6 feet (1.83m) from the equipment in all directions.

For safe playing, extend protective surfacing 12 feet (3.66m) in front of and behind the point of suspension of the swing.

Surfacing Material Guidelines (based on CPSC data):

The following table indicates approximate fall heights (in metres) from which a life-threatening head injury would not be expected, based on surfacing material and depth:

Type of Material0.15 m Depth0.225 m Depth0.3 m Depth
Double shredded bark mulch1.8m3.0m3.3m
Wood chips1.8m2.1m3.6m
Fine sand1.5m1.5m2.7m
Fine gravel1.8m2.1m3.0m

Note: All injuries due to falls cannot be prevented. Shock-absorbing material should extend a minimum of 1.8m from stationary equipment. For swings, extend this distance to twice the height of the pivot point in front and rear.

Material choice depends on equipment type, height, availability, and cost. Materials must be properly maintained and replenished.

Anchoring Instructions

Anchoring is necessary to prevent tipping, lifting, and overturning, especially in soft or sandy soil.

To anchor in concrete:

  • Dig holes at least 5" (12.7cm) deep and 10" (25.4cm) to 12" (30.5cm) in diameter.
  • Place swing set leg in the hole, preferably on a brick or stone to prevent sinking.
  • Ensure the leg is set 3" (7.6cm) below ground level.
  • Pour concrete around the legs and fill the hole.
  • Cover concrete adequately.
  • Allow concrete to cure according to the manufacturer's instructions before use.

Important: Swing seat must be a minimum of 0.35m above the ground.
