Remote Overview
The AC123 remote control is used for operating motorized shades. It features channel selection, limit setting, and programming capabilities.
Key Components:
- UP button
- Stop button
- Down button
- Setting button
- CHANNEL + / CHANNEL - buttons
- Indicator light
- Battery compartment
- Reset hole (for PROG button)
1. Select the Channel for Programming (for Multi-Shade remotes)
For multi-shade systems, select the desired channel using the "CHANNEL +" or "CHANNEL -" buttons. If it's a single channel, it will not affect all lights simultaneously.
Steps:
- Press and hold the "CHANNEL +" or "CHANNEL -" button to select the desired channel. For single-channel operation, this is not necessary.
- With a paper clip or small screwdriver, press and hold the Setting button. The shade motor will briefly move up and down (jogs).
- Press the UP button on the remote once. The shade will rotate briefly up and down (jogs), indicating that the pairing is finished.

2. Set Upper/Lower Position for the Shade
This section describes how to set the upper and lower limits for the shade's travel.
Steps:
- Press and hold the inset button on the back of the remote control. The shade will rotate briefly up and down (jogs) to enter the limit setting mode.
- Use the UP or DOWN buttons to adjust the shade to your desired upper or lower position.
- Press the Setting button to save the limit position. The shade will rotate briefly up and down (jogs) to confirm the limit position has been set.

3. Delete ALL Memory (including remote and limits)
This process resets the motor to its factory settings, clearing all programmed limits and remote associations.
Steps:
- Press the PROG BUTTON on the motor for 7 seconds. The motor will jog once after 1 second, and then jog twice after that. This indicates that all limits have been deleted.
- To change the direction of the motor, press the STOP button of the programmed transmitter for 5 seconds.

4. Add a New Controller to a Shade
Multiple controllers can be linked to a single shade.
Steps:
- Press the STOP button of the already paired remote. The motor will jog once.
- Press the UP button of the new remote. The motor will jog again, confirming that the new remote has been paired with the shade.

5. Troubleshooting
Matter: Motor does not turn after installation
- Check if the voltage is correct.
- Ensure there is no overload.
- Verify that incorrect installation is not causing the motor to be stuck.
Solution:
- Change to the correct voltage.
- Choose a motor with the appropriate torque.
- Check all components and connections.
Matter: Motor stops working
- The system may be preventing overheating after many repeated cycles.
- The wall adapter may be unplugged, or the batteries may be drained.
Solution:
- After 10 minutes of non-use, the motor should work again.
- Re-plug the wall adapter or replace the batteries.
