Digital Microscope Imaging System

Introduction

This document provides instructions for the Euromex LaboPad, a digital imaging solution designed to enhance microscope observation. It covers safety precautions, installation, and basic operation.

Intended Use

This device is intended for general observation of cells and tissues using transmitted/reflected illumination, with the specimen mounted on a slide. It is a non-medical device.

Dangers Associated with Operation

Before returning a device for repair or maintenance through a Euromex dealer, an RMA (return authorization form) and a decontamination statement must be filled in. This document, available from Euromex, must accompany the device.

Environment, Storage, and Use

Disconnect Power

Always disconnect the device from power before performing any maintenance, cleaning, assembly, or LED replacement to prevent electric shocks. [Power symbol] ⚡

Prevent Contact with Water and Other Fluids

Never allow water or other fluids to come into contact with your device. This can cause short circuits, leading to malfunction and damage to your system.

Mounting/Dismounting Optional Keyboard

The LaboPad can be used with an optional keyboard. The following images illustrate the process of attaching and detaching the keyboard to the tablet.

Installation of the LaboPad

Follow these steps to install the LaboPad system onto your microscope.

Step 1: Connect Mounting Bracket

Connect the mounting bracket to the camera adapter.

Step 2: Insert into Phototube

Insert the combined mounting bracket and camera adapter assembly into the microscope's camera phototube.

Step 3: Connect the Screen

Connect the tablet screen to the mounting bracket.

Step 4: Secure the Screen

Push the screen towards your left to secure it in place.

Step 5: Adjust Angle

Adjust the viewing angle of the tablet and fixate it using the provided knob.

Step 6: Connect Camera to Tablet

Connect the microscope camera to the tablet.

Step 7: Power On and Launch Software

Turn on the tablet's power and start the camera software.

Step 8: Recharge the Tablet

Connect the power adapter to recharge the tablet.
