Silestone Care and Maintenance

• Routine Care: Wipe with soap and water. For deeper cleaning, use a pH-balanced cleaner (pH < 10).
• Light Stains: Use a general-purpose household cleaner, let sit for 2 minutes, and rub with a non-scratch pad. For hardened stains, gently scrape with a razor blade or putty knife held upright, then clean with warm, soapy water.
• Difficult/Stubborn Stains: Apply Lacquer Thinner, Rubbing Alcohol, Ammonia, or Mineral Spirits and let stand for 10 minutes before scrubbing and rinsing. Handle chemicals with caution.
• Hardwater Stains: Apply a paste of baking soda and white vinegar, let sit for 10-20 minutes, rub with a non-scratch pad, and rinse.
• General Precautions: Avoid chlorine-based products, degreasing agents (like oven cleaners), and highly alkaline products (pH > 10).
• Heat Precautions: While Silestone can withstand high temperatures briefly, avoid sustained contact with heat sources. Use hot pads or trivets for hot pans.
• Sun Exposure: Not intended for outdoor use. Avoid areas with UV lighting.
• Repairs: Scratches can be filled with grout, silica gel, or marble paste. Consult a professional for complex damage.
