7. Sample Device Sticker

The device sticker provides essential information:

  • Product Name (e.g., Cold Service Trolley)
  • Model (e.g., SLD-311)
  • Dimensions (mm)
  • Power (kW)
  • Voltage (V) / Frequency (Hz)
  • Current (Amper)
  • Supply Cable (mm²)
  • Connection Type (e.g., CEE 7/7 TYPE F 16A)
  • Manufacturer details and contact information.
  • Product Date and Serial Number.

8. Electrical Connection - Assembly and Use Instructions

Follow the electrical standards of your country when connecting the device to the power network. Ensure the power supplied matches the device's information sticker.

9. Assembly

  1. Carefully remove the device from its packaging.
  2. Before first use, peel off the protective PVC coating from all surfaces. Wipe surfaces with a damp cloth, then a dry cloth.
  3. Do not use alcohol- or solvent-based cleaners. Use mild soap and water on stainless steel surfaces, then dry with a clean cloth.
  4. Before first use procedure:
    • If the device was recently moved, allow 3 hours before turning it on to let the refrigerant settle.
    • When ready, run the unit with empty GN containers covering the tubs for 1 hour before adding food.

10. Use Instructions

  1. Connect the power cable to a grounded 220-240V outlet.
  2. Turn the power switch on the control panel to the 'ON' position.
  3. Use the 'SET' button and arrow keys on the digital thermostat to adjust the desired temperature. Releasing 'SET' displays the current internal temperature.
  4. The indicator light shows when the cooling motor/heating element is active.
  5. Cold Buffet: Use GN containers to cover the entire tub for even air distribution. Do not operate without sufficient food containers for maximum efficiency.
  6. Hot Buffet: Adjust water level as needed. Monitor water level closely due to rapid steam generation at high temperatures to ensure proper bain-marie function and safety.
  7. Divide food into serviceable portions in GN containers before placing them in the unit for even temperature preservation.
  8. Cold Buffet: Water condensation in the bottom pan can be drained via the provided drain plug.
  9. Hot Buffet: Adjust heating to keep food warm; the unit is not for cooking.

For highest energy efficiency:

  • Do not leave tubs uncovered for extended periods.
  • Do not place hot food or drinks directly into the unit.
  • Cold Buffet: Set thermostat to lower temperatures (3-5°C recommended).
  • Cold Buffet: Avoid direct sunlight or hot ambient temperatures (max recommended 25°C, 60% humidity).
  • Hot Buffet: Avoid cold temperatures with uncovered food, as this can cause uneven temperatures.

11. Cleaning

  1. Unplug the power cord before cleaning.
  2. Use a soft sponge with warm soapy water for food contact surfaces.
  3. Do not use harsh cleaners or toxic chemicals.
  4. Do not use pressure washers.
  5. Ensure no water enters the control/electrical cabinet.
