Power and Operation
The Canon LS-123K calculator is powered by both a solar cell and an alkaline battery (LR44 x 1). For battery replacement, please contact a Canon Service Center. The device automatically powers off after approximately 7 minutes of inactivity to conserve energy. It operates within a temperature range of 0°C to 40°C.
Important Note: Avoid electromagnetic interference or electrostatic discharge, as these can affect display accuracy or memory contents. If issues arise, press the [Clear Key] to reset.
Tax Calculation
Simplify tax calculations with dedicated functions:
- Store Tax Rate: Enter and save your tax rate.
- Recall Tax Rate: Quickly access the stored tax rate.
- Add Tax: Add tax amount to a displayed value.
- Deduct Tax: Subtract tax amount from a displayed value.
Overflow and Error Handling
The calculator displays "E" to indicate an overflow condition, which occurs when a calculation result or memory content exceeds 12 digits to the left of the decimal point, or when dividing by zero. The keyboard locks during an overflow; press the [Clear Key] to resolve.
